I tried (with different dates each time) and kept getting 'CONNECTION STATUS: Unable to submit reservation' and 'Invalid_RateType'. Don't mind not getting a £1 room but now I'm not sure that the site is entirely secure. Didn't see that little padlock thingy you're meant to look out for when you enter your card details

And, erm. Hello, btw. : I'm a newbie to all this lark!

It obviously wasn't working properly - just hope all my details aren't floating in cyberspace for all to see! But I'm sure I did see a padlock when I was typing in my credit card details ( unsuccessfully I might add!;) ). I'm not bothered as I didn't really expect to get a £1 room and tbh if the site had been error free I'm sure the rooms would have gone in a lot less than 35 mins! ( Maybe that's why the people who got the rooms aren't complaining! :) )I think though what may be bothering folk is that because the site wasn't working it wasn't first come first served. There's a sense of unfairness about it from that point of view, I don't think people who didn't get the rooms and are complaining are being childish, they are just frustrated ( in the same way you might feel if you were actually queuing at the reception desk and the receptionist went to someone six places behind you in the queue and offered them the last £1 room).

What a thread to join in on !!! WELCOME !!

I have been over on this thread in travel trips and holidays and I got a room for £29 for a weekend as there were NEVER any £1 rooms for the weekend but also got £1 rooms for my mum, mid week though for 3 nights.

How did you manage to get £1 rooms for three nights? I thought the offer was £1 for a maximum of 1 night.

hope you and your friend enjoys the half empty £1.00 beds spread over two rooms.

    That's very bitter.

It's just me that's going to be in my room in my bed on my own - there were no twin rooms left which may have been the case for the above people and sometimes people don't like to share beds with their friends !!

I thought you were only allowed one room, one night @ £1 and any more were going to be cancelled?
