    Happy Birthday Julie67:bdaycake:

Absolutely freezing here today. Have had to turn the heating back up a notch, luckily it is supposed to get a bit warmer later in the week.

Had a bad day yest - seemed such a long lonely day that I was glad when it was finally time to go back to bed! Hopefully should be getting the car back today so won't feel as cut off. It will be nice to get my independance back.

May make a couple quiches and freeze them to use up stuff in the fridge. Oooh just started snowing here now.

    Keep warm and well everyone

    Afternoon everyone :D

Late one from me, was up at the supermarket at 8.45am this morning doing the weekly shop after dropping kids off with my mum. Only took me half an hour as it was empty in there :T Sains Basics Pasta back down to 20p per 500g, so stocked up on a few more bags of that as knowing them it will probably double in price in a few weeks.
Had one mindee for a couple of hours this morning, now gone home. House is still a semi-pit after the weekend declutter. Going to sort out the kids bookcase as it's heaving and my mum would like a few more books at her house as her selection is quite limited.
Could really do with putting the vac round but will have to see how I get on as the house being so cluttered is affecting my sanity :o

Dull, cold and wet here. Not good - I am dying to get out into the garden and tidy it up, prep the veggie patch etc but it's too bloomin' cold and wet ATM.

OK I had better get a move on, working full time from Wednesday onwards so won't have time to get ANYTHING done then.

Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

Julie67 - Have a lovely day, sounds like you've been spoilt with some nice pressies :)

JackieO - hope you're antib's kick in ASAP, sounds painful xx

Loulou - Hope you and DS are OK x

Redruby - Hugs for you xx Hope you can get some help sorted out.

Mind you whilst i was gone DH tidied up the house :T.

JackieO, ouch hope the arm gets better soon.
    Julie67 Happy birthday.
I put petrol in my car this morning as I know I have a lot of running around to this week. This morning I drove to the registry office to collect the paperwork for our wedding, it's about a 30mile round trip, when I arrived it seems the registrar 'hadn't got round to signing it yet' !!!!!!, the paperwork has been there since October, so I have to do another 30 mile trip tomorrow, I'm not impressed! I decided to do my shopping today so went to the butchers & spent £65 on meat, veg & fruit, but should have enough to last us a few months.
    Hugs Hester

    Afternoon All,
    Happy Birthday Julie67
JackieO hope the antib's kick in & you feel better soon.
Uolypol glad to see you're sleep pattern is getting sorted, mine is still up the left & I've only been up an hour!!
Dinner tonight WILL be roast chicken as it has finally defrosted, only took a day & a half:rotfl:we ended up having a baked rissotto last night in the end.
Have discovered there is some advantage to having an iffy sleep pattern, when I got up (finally) DP had hoovered, mopped & polished all through downstairs, DS had walked the dogs, sorted the recycling & emptied the DW & DD has prepped all the veg for dinner:TI could so get used to this:D
Halight - my DD bought me that knitting mag too. I haven't had a chance to look at it properly yet as I am trying to finish off a hat & glove set that I am halfway through. However she has said if I like it she will continue to get it for me as a birthday present. Personally I think she has an ulterior motive & is angling for the throw for her room;)
Right I'm off for now, hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs, Spoons & Hi5's all round x

    Hi everyone

Had a good weekend, got a lot of jobs done that I've been putting off, also did a whole mountain range of ironing.

Went to bed last night and after half an hour was back up again with D & V, so not at work today. Have managed to keep a glass of water inside me for 2 hours so think I am on the mend. Unfortunately have caught my back so that hurts more than anything now:eek:

Not going to try and do anything as need to go back to work tomorrow. It's wages week and I don't expect my name is very popular being off today!

  • Afternoon all,
OK Chicken Gorky made with lo stir fried turkey pieces and lo chicken fajitas pieces. Had to add the fajitas pieces or finding the turkey would have been a bit like fishing. There was so much sauce - but did use up all lo dips & stuff.
It is tasting delish:) Will have tonight with lo veg from yesterday. There will be enough left for us to have two or three meals away in the freezer. OH made pork with black-eyed beans & chorizo yesterday, which gave us four tubs of chorizo beans in the freezer, great with baked spuds.
Need to redo menu plan to incorporate using up all these ready meals:)
Must go and de-clutter some more, Silver x

Healing vibes to JackieO that sounds most unpleasant.

Sorry, I'm still way behind on what's going on.:o

Must now stop procrastinating and go and get on the Wii Fit instead of just glaring at the balance board.:D

Honestly don't keep putting yourself under pressure to keep up with all the news and goss. Least you're trying to fit in some time on the Wii Fit every day which is FAR more than me. I haven't been on it for over a month and I dread to think how long it had been prior to that :o:o

Made a batch of cupcakes with the kids :D
Cooking a bag of lincolnshire sausages that I bought today. I get up some days really fancying sausage and egg but never have the time to cook the stuff from frozen. But if they are pre cooked then I can defrost them in no time and then re-heat them. Smart thinking there huh?! Have waited to put them on when the kids wanted to bake so not had to put the oven on twice either <insert smug smilie>

Just been trying to clean the seal of the washing machine as the last lot of whites I did have got grubby from the mould on the seal  It's a biatch to clean :( Need to look up the thread on here for the best tips. Don't want to damage the seal by keep using bleach but bicarb won't shift it :(

Having to watch Batman and Robin for the hundreth time. It's a diabolical film but I suppose George Clooney and Chris O'Donnell make up for the completely pants story ;)

Skyvicky - welcome to the thread :D

lowesy - Enjoy your last few weeks at work ;)
