Good Morning chums ,and happy birthday to Julie67 Well yesterday was a complete no-no as ar as I was concerned.I woke up yesterday feeling absolutely yuck.My right arm had trebled in size and was pillar box red.The dreaded cellulitis had struck overnight.Unfortunately because I have so few lymph nodes after my mastectomy I now and again for no apparent reason have a nasty flare-up in my right arm.I always have a stock of amoycillin 500 indoors which I have to start on straight away, which I did but it makes you feel so ill.I spent most of yesterday in bed feeling really grotty.I got up around 6.00.p.m. and thought I'd better eat something and managed half a slice of toast and a little water.went back to be and have only just got up now.I feel slightly better but will be going round to my Drs this morning as he has to record my flare ups .
Stlill haven't had anything to eat as I just have no appetite at all.Eldest DD said she will pop down this morning as she is on half term from school. I'm so cross because I had so many things planned to do yesterday.Still hopefully the antibios will kick in and bring down the swelling and redness. I don't think I'll get much done today thats for sure.
I must remember to get some wrapping papaer for DGS present as its his birthday this week.Saturday nights family do went well and we all had a great time.I still can't think what to get my eldest DGD for her 18th next month. Will be at another party then as well. Right I'm off to have a shower and pop around to the drs.No shopping to get at least as I have stacks of stuff in the fridge as it is .
Take care all and have a good day

P.S. does anyone here live near Leominster I am off there for my spring holiday in April I wondered what sort of place it was and where the bargains might be found

    Good Morning All

Hope they antibiotics work quickly Jackie. My DS2 has had cellulitis, she ended up in hospital for weeks and then came home and had to have introvenus antibotics. She`s not been right since as her immune system has been affected by all of the antibotics.
    Take it easy today.

It`s a dull, wet morning here today. Cold too we`ve had sleet.
Have already had WM on. My cat decided to try to bring up a fur ball on the window sill. This resulted in a mess on the curtains. Despite them being dry clean only I put them on a quick cool wash and they seem to be ok. Only hope the linings haven`t shrunk.
No chance of drying them on the line though so they are on the airer.
Decided to clean the DW too. Have to book a repair the detergent will not release. Just putting tablet on top of the cutlery tray in the meantime.

Having braised steak and onions for tea, will put in the slow cooker at lunchtime.

Have a good day everyone :)

Can't believe it's Monday again! The only good thing about today is that once it's over I only have 5 more Monday's left at work before maternity leave :j:j That is of course unless they make me redundant before then - fingers crossed please everyone a few thousand in my back pocket before I quit work for a few years would be most welcome :D

OS wise today will involve ironing a couple of shirts when I get home and putting on a wash. Tea tonight will be bubble and squeak (it's Monday - it's THE LAW!!!) predictable aren't I?

My friend here at work has just come up to me and told me she's in my club! Can't believe it - it's baby city here atm, what with me, my sister-in-law ready to drop any day and now my lovely friend! Soooo exciting - I must be such a baby bore maybe someday soon I'll find another subject to talk about :rotfl:

Hope everyone is well, huggles to all xx

    :bdaycake:Happy Birthday Julie67,sounds like you've got a good day planned-enjoy yourself.x

JackieO- sorry you're so under the weather-hope the meds work soon.

Taplady- make the most of this week with your Mum,but does her move to Devon mean you can have minibreaks by the sea more often :)?

Redruby- a live in carer sounds a good plan if your Mum & Dad would go for it.Hope OH back gets better soon, sympathise as DS1 is still not able to go back to work.He has physio again this afternoon, when I think the physio is going to tell him whether he can help him further or whether he'll need surgery .He can just about walk, but looks most peculiar from the rear, all twisted and bent.

Well,I've cleaned our bathroom, and been out with the dog-we both got drenched and I had to towel him dry so muddy towels to add to the workload for today now.It started turning to sleet just as I was coming back.

Not sure whats for tea yet.I find menu planning as such doesnt really work for me-I have a rough plan in my head for a couple of days ahead, but I like being able to decide on the day.Luckily I'm usually able to keep my freezer well stocked,so along with a good store cupboard I can do this,I hardly ever waste anything so must have the shopping about right.

Well, time to carry on,would like to do some sewing this afternoon if I get chance.Have good days all.x

JackieO Hope you arm settles soon. Cellulitis is a horrible thing. Take it as easy as you can.

Not much happening here as usual. Got the dinner on for later. It's algerian thing called tle tle. Wee tiny pasta type things and I cook a tomatoey sauce with chicken + veg and mix it through. Served with quartered boiled eggs on top. Yum!!!!

Just asked dh if we can do something as a family over the next 3 days while he is off work and the kids off school and nursery. Hopefully we get to go out for a big foresty walk or something.

Had run out of so many essentials like pasta, flour, sugar etc. Actually went and withdrew an extra £20 form ATM yday to see us through to the end of the month. I have stuff in the freezer, but there are some essentials I just needed. It was an awful feeling doing it. But I suppose, it was me that set my monthly grocery budget, and this month I just didn't manage.
Oh well, next month should be better. Am going to order stuff from Approved foods for the first time!!!!!!!! So any of you who have used it, I'd appreciate any tips. Has anyone tried the lucky dip box? It sounds like fun!!!
