I can remember when a Bank Manager was a real Bank Manager.;)

Thank God that has changed now. They used to be so full of their own self importance and that they were in a different league to everyone else. When I first joined a bank, the Branch Manger never even spoke to me as I was a junior and not worthy - not even a bloody hello.

This was not isolated though, on the whole they were very unapproachable unless you used to play golf with them.

Some things have changed for the better without a doubt.

Although Lloyds tactic of calling all their sellers "Bank Manager" is taking the mick.

If I look around at my colleagues who are Branch Managers now they are a much more friendly, approachable bunch of people which can only be a good thing.

I agree with much of that.

    Especially the Lloyds TSB thing.

I didn't know Britannia Building Society did a current accout?? :

That was many years ago. They decided that current accounts were uneconomical and sold them all to the Co-operative Bank in the early 1990s, I think. Ironically, now that the Co-op owns the Britannia, they are selling Co-op Bank current accounts in Britannia branches.

Nat West - I have one of those so will post later ;)

Norwich & Peterborough have a new design

I think I will change my chequebooks to Welsh ones next week

Is your Bank of Scotland cheque book an old one? Bright Orange!

Your Nat West cheque is interesting. Bright Green? What is the picture. I thought Nat West cheques were a pink/light red design?

Not sure I am keen on the N&P design now compared to the one I posted.

I did have but I closed the account and alas did not keep the card or cheque book. They kept it at the branch :(:(

Is that NatWest design only for customers in Scotland?
