The connect card is nice.
Why do banks seem to produce such mundane card designs now?
The Bank of Scotland one with the Scottish scene - pretty relevant to a scottish bank. I bet their cards now aren't so nice.
I also remember Royal Bank of Scotland producing a card with a photograph on it and the signature already printed on the back.0 -

I really loved the design of my Multifunction Card - the one in the book in my photo. Also the design of the cheques too. The merging of green and blue with the interesting "stained glass" fractal in the middle.
I also had the Abbey National Credit Card when it first came out. It was ACTUALLY operated by Abbey National not by MBNA. The design was also good:
I left Abbey National some time ago when it became a bit too trendy for me.
I much prefer cards with the hologram on the front and the VISA symbol on the front. Why do cards not have "Delta" on them now?
What are the Santander cards and cheques like now??? Anyone care to post some pics up?A_Flock_Of_Sheep wrote: »Bring Back cheques and guarantee cards!
Anyone got any pics of the Santander cheques and debit cards of nowadays?
The Card on the right is the cash card for the above account. The cards on the left are the old and current cards from my current account.
These are the cheque books for my current account I don't have a Santander one though. Not as green as I am cabbage looking0 -
Hmm I don't think the later design of Abbey cheque is as nice as the original blue and green.
The Santander card(s) are a bit plain also.0 -
Agreed
I would have to say that anything that looks like it should be money (i.e. all that fraud protection squirls etc) would look right at home on a card or chequebook.

My first debit card isnt on that website and cant find a pic either (old NatWest Solo, got when they first introduced Solo, I must have been about 15 or 16, I believe it was purple - I went full circle though because the first debit card I got after not being allowed one for 5 years  was yep, you guessed it, a NatWest Solo
And it was still purple - although a lighter shade) Some of the old cards were really funky!! Bring back the old psychedelic designs I say

Just had a nose through there
thiswas my first cashcard (on my savings account I believe). Don't have my old VISA Electron on there though.

The new Lloyds TSB cheque design which has been around for a while now is not as nice as the earlier older design posted:
Norwich and Peterborough's cheque design is quite ornate and also has a watermark in the paper:
Leeds Building Society design is very plain and boring with an uninspiring grey strip through the middle:
I know one bank has cheques with pictures of birds on them or animals. I am sure I have seen them.
Why did the VISA hologram start being glued onto the back of cards? I really dislike this.0 -
wow bring back so many memories back then
oh how it couldn't be like that today0 -
