This is my first ever post, and have to admit it has taken me ages to pluck up the courage to write something,
As a single person, I have to admit I prefer being on my own, when friends offer to come with me on holiday, I find I am making excuses as to why they can't come, Going on my own I find I can do what I want when I want without having to ask someone else.
The only thing I will NOT do is go into a pub on my own, sure why.
I spend £175 on food and lunches for work per month.
Does anyone know if there is one single thread where you can join all the challenges, as I have noticed on a lot of signitures challenges which sound like fun, but not sure how to find them.
Brilliant thread by the way.0 -
May!! Welcome. I was just coming on here to find out if Lucy had surfaced yet. Dirty stop out.
Well done for posting - its good to hear from you
Hhhm good question about the challenges. I just used to ask people - If I saw a challenge in their sig. I think the NSD is a good one to do - that's on the DFW board and is run by the lovely SolventSoon - I don't do it at present but it was a very friendly thread.
Just go for a wander - have a look at the new posts list and also have a look at the boards to see what threads there are.0 -
here you go ~ linky to list of challenges
Love the thread btw ladies and gents and just for what it's worth ~ singledom rocks (not that I amhowever have been) err not having to rely/tidy up after anyone else, not having to consult anyone else, don't have to make conversation if you don't want to, can eat what and when you like and don't even get me started on trips, awaydays, sitting in pub, reading with a lovely glass of wine, watching the world go by etc etc ~ what's not to like!

Welcome May! lovely to have you aboard. We've just started the April NSD challenge if you'd like to join us - we're a very friendly (if slightly insane) bunch, but you'll find everyone is very supportive. There's a list of guidelines put together by some of the regulars to help newbies on the challenge, and we only really have one rule...we never ever ever use the F word.... no, not Gordon Ramsey's :rotfl: no one ever fails...we just sometimes don't quite make our targets, but that's ok, we'll aim to do better next month, and even just 1 NSD is an achievment.
Solvensoon (aka spoony) is taking a couple of months off running the challenge as she's been really busy at work - and has done a such a sterling job for so long she deserves a break (and a medal). However, the equally wonderful butdoineedit? (aka BDINI) has stepped in to cover Spoon (with a little help from some friends) and is doing a fab job.
Here's the link to the challenge - you'll prob see some familiar names from this thread.

Thank you kerri gt, saorsie and curlygirl 1971 you have all made me feel very welcome. I was worried about posting, but now I know it's not really that difficult. I have now requested to join a few challenges, it should be fun.0

I get paid monthly & i purchase my tobacco for the month ( £35.00 ) fill my car up with fuel ( £40.00 ) This may also sound a little strange but, having been debt free since September 2009 i still limit myself to £10.00 pw pocket money, from this i pay £6.00 for my Sunday football subs which leaves me with £4.00 free to spend on me, now this money i have left can be carried over to the next week as there really is nothing left that i need, honestly, i have found i have turned into a right penny pincher'Dont Bury Your Head In The Sand As Your Problems Will Still Exist'
Debt Free Since 1st September 2009:j0 -
