Try changing your SMTP setting in Outlook Express to smtp.v21.co.uk from what it is now.

Ok the existing outgoing smtp was - smtp.speed-mail.co.uk
I changed to smtp.v21.co.uk
No luck
I don't understand why I can receive emails from anyone, but I can't send them!0 -

Well it definitely should now be set to smtp.v21.co.uk.
Sending uses the POP3 settings and receiving uses the SMTP settings.
Do you still get the same error code 0x800CCC79?

Thanks man! I think the discussion thread you pointed me to has helped fix the issue, namely my Firewall was blocking OE ports.0 -
