V21/Biscit Customers Locked out of Internet!!

  • Sorry, but do you mean your V21 ADSL service is working again?

    Yup - only till 24th though:T
  • Thanks for this, I checked with Zen last night and again this morning and they say that "Broadband is already connected to this line" and "you will need to cancel the existing ADSL service prior to ordering . . .". No mention of a cease order at all. Looks as though the v21 customers may well be messed about with as much as the unfortunate Fast24 customers.

Yep, you've been messed about with now.
The effect of this action is that affected V21 customers should be able to use their broadband connection again for a period of around five working days (though this broadband connection will not link through to V21 or its ISP services), after which time broadband will be removed from the line. New broadband orders will then be able to be placed on those lines by the customer with the ISP of their choice.

Looks like you're now set for a 27th cease instead of the 24th, and all nicely packaged up with Netservices being so kind as to let you have your broadband back for another 5 days! ;)

Actually, it's the 27th. Read the Ofcom notice about it:

Well maybe someone should tell Netservices, after all they're providing the service.....:D

Looks clear to me and so far between Netservices, Biscit, V21 and OFOM, Netservices seem to be the only one's telling the truth and sticking to their word

I'm basing my comments on experience. Netservices won't be ceasing your line until the 27th - trust me on this. ;)

I get the impression you're closer to this than you're prepared to admit..

I don't really mind if it rolls on to the 27th or beyond, just sooner the better so I can jump ship, I'm Pipex bound I think along with my Freetalk calls, all in package for £22.49 a month, I was actually paying more with V21 when you add in the phone calls and the odd GB above the limit.
  • Hi Guys,

Well my BB may be back online for now, but Outlook Express is not happy?

I can't seem to send or receive emails from my work server? I've tried to send a message to myself and I keep getting this error message:-

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'wayne@motivationalmaps.com'. Subject 'hi', Account: 'mail.motivationalmaps.com', Server: 'smtp.speed-mail.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <wayne@motivationalmaps.com>... Relaying denied. Please check your mail first or restart your mail session.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Any of you whizz kids know what's up? How to fix the error? Do I need to re-confgure Outlook again or something I wonder???

My Hotmail emails send and receive ok from Outlook. Strange?

    Help!
  • I am also receiving the same error messages when try to send and receive e mails. Anybody help please!!!!!!!!!!
  • Is this something to do with the POP3 server??
