Hello....
Just looking for some friendly advice please, I have claimed against Nationwide and they acknowledged on the 3rd of July.
The 28 days are up on the 31st July, but due to the recent announcements, if no defence has been submitted by 31st July do i enter a judgement?.
Any advice would be appreciated thanks in advance ...

hi anyone been having probs with nationwide reclaiming charges .....today on my final day of waiting for the judgement to be delivered i received from nationwide a letter stating the test case issues with the office of fair trade and that my case is to be put on hold !!! I simply could not believe my bad luck .....i started all this stuff in april they made excuses ,lost registered letters and were adamant that they never refunded charges so i took them to court where i go from here any ideas .....i wish i lived in hull !!! will keep fighting the fight0

Who is stating your case is to be put on hold? Nationwide or the courts? As I thought and I may be wrong that only the court could do that?0

This is probably the latest standard letter put out by Nationwide no matter what stage your particular claim is at. If your claim is in the court system then, as willowtears says, you will get a hearing date and it will be up to the court to decide if your hearing goes ahead.0

Don't you just love em....the Banks have always beleived their word is gospel and it probably was and even though they have taken a hell of a beating over the last few months they are still putting out their own inane propaganda.
Well we now know where Comical Ali, the Iraqui Minister For Information went....He must be employed as a Consultant for the Banking Industry!!! :rotfl:0 -
It will be interesting to see if Nationwide continue with the policy of paying up before the end of the 28 days or if they will go to court and hope that the cases are postponed until after the OFT test case.
Hopefully those that are in the court process now will keep us all informed of how they go on.0
