  • I want to decline an offer from Barclays. Which letter do I need to send them?

    Thanks
  • You can say that you will accept their offer in partial payment but will now be taking them to court for the rest.
  • Which letter do I send to decline the offer. IS there a template here on this site?
  • Ok, I've sent all letters and rejected Barclays offer, all time has now elapsed since my LBA was sent, how do I kick off my claim now? Do I just go to MCOL and file a claim and put in the amount I'm claiming and Barclay's HQ address? It's a couple of hundred to start the claim correct?
    Thanks.
  • Ignore last message, I've now registered and kicked off my claim with MCOL, cost £120 to do so, I used the template from CAG for the POC. The Bank has 14 days to lodge response, does this start from today? I understand Barclays will most likely lodge defence so I'll get allocation forms and another £100 charge, ho hum!

Just a warning to anyone claiming at Northampton County Court

I went in today to take in my AQ and was told that they are running behind with paper work due to xmas period and the amount of bank claims and they are 3 weeks behind and only on paper work from 21st December being done today, so if you do not hear from them for a while then you know why so you may have to be patient and wait i'm afraid.
    Not just a white vanman:cool:
I'm no expert in things really but i do have 36 years of experience in life, and some of those years fighting off bailiffs.
Nicknamed Victor Meldrew among friends as i love to complain;)
  • Oh dear, back log of complaints..!! The banks are going to get into a pickle arent they..!?

I have a theory that Barclays will be the first to slip up, they are being too bulshy; they have a right to a defence but as per the link above on Rex's thread shows they are going to need to be very careful with intimidation tactics.. God only knows who is giving them their legal advice...?

I can't believe how powerful this website is..! a common union of people, simply following a process, and these massive cooperations are starting to crumble.. People are even fighting back about account closures (rightfully)..!

I know, I know, its not over till its over, but Drewtsers right; Stick together and help each other out and sooner or later the mighty will tumble (although very temporarily i'm sure)

Drewster let me know when you get your allocation questionnaire and i'll crack open a bottle..!! Sounds like a few other people could do with a drink on here..!!
  • My husband banks with Barclays - has done all of his life. The probelm here is that he is cr*p with money. Most of his money is now transferred to my bank account to pay the bills so his account is now, effectively, for his pocket money.
He goes over his overdraft nearly every month.

I just wondered if we can still claim? I understand in circumstances where there has been instances when someone has gone accidentally overdrawn and the charges escalate but what about in the case of someone where they do this nearly month?

    Any advice greatly appreciated
