Barclays Bank (merged)

Ok, barclays have replied to my letter (where I said I'd accept offer in part payment only and want to pursue for rest) - they basically said sorry you don't want it in part payment, you can still have it now if you want it - "If you do not wish to accept our offer in full and final settlement it would appear we are unable to reach a mutually acceptable resolution"
Do I now file it with court or do I send another LBA? (Or was my last letter the LBA anyway where I rejected their offer and said I'd start court proceedings in 7 days?)
Thanks!0 -
I'm going to send

that letter next, I don't have to wait for the full 7 days to pass do I? They responded within that time so I can now send letter5 yes? (giving them another 7 days before registering my claim)0 -
"and therefore the [INSERT NAME OF COURT] court " - how do I know which court I need to enter there? If I register the claim online, do I still just put my local court details in?0

Just a quick one guys, Barclays like to fight, however it never gets to court, it may get to the day beofre court before they pay out, but NEVER to court.
You will have to file in court and you will have to fill in an allocation questionaire a few weeks later, then you have to wait for the court to set a hearing date and somewhere before that date, Barclays will pay out!
I am at the "waiting for a hearing date" stage so a good few months down the line with Barclays!Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0 -

If you've sent the LBA, and the bank has refused to settle in court, you don't have to send another letter. Just go ahead and submit your claim with the court. The court you need can be found in post #6 of THIS THREAD.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hi All,
Just a quick query, as I have moved my account number and sort code changed a couple of years back. Do anyone know if I would need to deal with them separately or would they be linked?
The bank insisted on the sort code and account number change when I moved.
Thanks0 -

Many people have filed claims, only a handful have actually ended up in a courtroom, for reasons too long winded for me to type right now.
The banks are almost without exception always paying up. Some people accept lower partial offers before the court stage, others take it all the way and get the whole lot plus court fees and interest.0 -

Put in your local court or omit this reference to a specific court.0 -

thats very strange!!!
yes i would say you would be claiming them seperately but only to the point that you list both of the numbers on the letters. I dont think you need to do the whole process seperately.0 -
I have sent a letter to Barclays requesting around 570 in charges.
They have replied, offering 270.
What do I do now... am I meant to accept as a part offer!?!?
I cant find a letter to say this!?!?0
