hi
i sent a a claim for just over £3k  to barclays and got an offer of £600:mad: i sent the letter refusing it, giving them 14 days to reply. i still havent heard nothing and there time is almost up.
what do i do next and can anyone point me in the direction of what letter to send. do i start court proceedings and if so, how?
lots of questions i know but i would apreciate the help. i am also scared to death of actually ending up in court, how likely is this?
thanks, vix- prior planning prevents poor performance!

Once the 14 days are up you have to move on to the next step and start the court claim online via the link in Martin's article.

Hi there
I am currently trying to get back bank charges from Barclays of £3000. We have got to the bit where we've sent the letter asking for the money and giving them 14 days. The 14 days was up on 28th Dec... Barclays wrote back saying the would be in touch again on 9th Jan and they are sorry to hear we have a complaint, blah blah blah...
Do you think we should wait until their specific date or go full throtle and go to the next step?
Thanks for all your help. It's just ace so many people are fighting and making a stand. Thanks for all the advice.:T0 -

barclays had till 3rd of Jan to reply. i phoned the county court today (4th) and they did'nt put in a defence. no reply at all. so i have now taken in my request for judgment form to request immediate payment of £3500.
now its time to sit and wait to see how long it takes them to cough-up.

Dear Martin,
I originally wrote to Barclays bank to reclaim charges applied to my account over the past six years as per your web site.
Please find below an itemised list of the course of events as it does not appear to be going to plan. I have already paid the court £120 when I first applied online, I am now being asked to pay another£100 before I can proceed.
I would greatly appreciate your comments.

Please check the link in this post for court costs as your claim is over £1,500 there is a further £100 to pay.0
