I put my claim in to reclaim £1,110 of bank charges approx. 2 weeks before all cases were put on hold! 5 months later I applied for my case to be considered under the financil hardship criteria - HSBC were surprisingly helpful -rather than send an expenditure form they assigned me a case handler who called and took financial details, then called back 2 days lto say I did qualify under financial hardship criteria and they paid me £600 to pay off my overdraft, and the rest of the claim is on hold until the result of the test case.

Just remember guys, if your circumstances change you can still go back to the bank again under the financial hardship criteria. Good day for you both.

Well done to the op.

I think I'm going to try and talk to someone at Barclays today. I have a stayed case for 4k against them and they are threatening reposession because I've been a couple of hundred down the last two months on an agreement omn my mortgage. Sent me a £750 solicitors bill. I'm hoping they can understand I'm struggling but I won't hold my breath.

Hi guys/girls first post..

I sent a letter to Barclays gonig through the hardship route for £894.98 fees..

Anway today i get out of the blue an acceptance letter for £247.50

Now do i just take it on the chin or shall i go further n look for the extra £600..

Advice please. Thanks.

I would keep going, they just paid me out £450 more than I asked for.

they are just trying it on.

Has anyone got a template letter for a second time in asking...

I don't use the account in question and haven't done got nearly 4 years so they have no idea of my current finanical situation.

The account in question is £550 overdrawn and really want to get it to 0 so i can close it (an extra maybe a bonus)

Can anyone help? Thanks.

i too have just recieved my later back counldnt believe it was so much £1,115!!

i have since moved banks and have keeped my finances under a tight belt whilst paying back an overdraft (slowly around £650 left) that i have with barclays, this would wipeout that overdraft and then some.

I sent a letter to Barclays, and in no uncertain terms they wrote back almost straight away saying they are not going to repay me my bank charges as they deemed them to be fair and legal!!! I didn't think they had the right to do this, and is there someone I can send a copy of the letters to that they sent back to me as I don't understand everything they have said - apart from them saying they won't pay me back?

My case was stayed the day after it was decided we'd all have to wait. Barclays are threatening me with repsession so I'm goin down the hardship route. Does anyone think it's worth mentioning the fact that they are after this repo in my letter?

send me me a pm, ill tell you what to put on a hardship claim for barclays. Wouldnt worry about the repo quite yet.
