Hi
I sent my third standard letter on 15th and got an offer today dated the 18th for 75% of my claim. I do not want to accept this so am writing back to say thanks but no-thanks. I am not claiming interest so I don't think I should accept only 75%. Do I just write back and say 'I accept without prejudice but NOT as full & final payment..... I want don't think 75% is acceptable ?'
I was very supprised to get the offer this quick though so fingers crossed !:cool:0 -

Am having problems with Barclays, trying to obtain statements. After exceeding the 40 days, then calling them and following up with a letter. They responded on the phone saying the printers were out of toner!! And I could apply again , another 40 days? They responded to the letter, saying sorry blah blah, too many requests to cope with, go to the ombudsman if not happy. We then complained to the commission re the dpa, and the ombudsman. Phoned again to inform them of such, to which we were told, we don't care what you do, we will take as long as we take. Think of a figure and submit it and we'll make you an offer?
We don't have a figure without the statements. But have submitted a letter, requesting all charges to be returned to us over the past 6 years. Now await. Has anyone else had this problem, or can think of a solution? Thanks in advance.
submit a claim for £5000! thats what i'd do! my 40 days were up on the 10th, last thurs, sent next letter (7 days or i report) on tuesday and just waiting for a reply. not very hopeful of one soon though but its alright as i dont have the money to take em to court yet! but if there telling you to just submit a claim for anything do so. Even if its only £2000, you'll still be £2000 richer than you are today!Claiming back from Natwest: £595+intrest
Claiming back from Barclays: £525+intrest0 -
Go to https://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/onlineservices they have a PDF application for exemption or remission from court fees, form EX160 If you are on a low income or on Income support you may qualify, although you can't do this if you use MCOL(money claim online)you have to fill in the PDF form N1 small claims form and send it recorded delivery in the post
I hope this of help

Barclays are defending my claim for refund of "Paid Referrals" This is when they look at my account and decide whether to pay my cheques. Usually because they choose to take five days to clear cheques (in this day & age) this charge often goes un-noticed as it appears on the quarterly charges statement for business account holders. I can't wait to get into court. I'm going to wipe the floor with them. They've stifled my cash flow and strangled my business by effectively stealing over £3k from my bank account. I've had to sell the business and at 56 I've got to sell my house, as I was unable to get the business into enough profit (often being too cash strapped to advertise). Why do banks think that is fair to charge £30 for 1 minutes work? £1,800 per hour!!! If I could have charged my customers like that I'd be a millionaire. What business can? And they think that they've got a defence. What planet are they on? They've morphed from National Institutions into Mafia. We've got to stop them!!!! I can't wait.0

I have a court date in 4 days. Last week I wrote to Barclays asking if
they intended to settle but I've still not heard a thing.
Has anyone had experience of them leaving it this late?
I'm not paticularly bothered but I would just like the opportunity of telling
them exactly where to shove their 'offer of goodwill'.0 -

I have notified my bank of the charges owed £1383, they have offered £800. The bank will not identify how they have arrived at this and said this is there offer. If I wish to take it further they suggest I take it to the next stage, What do I do now.0
