hi all

2 days after receiving the letter from Barclays, got home and 2 envelopes with all statements back to Jan 2001, £860/1020 to reclaim

i think i may use this customer relations person as my contact and see how i get on, letter in the post tomorrow

a quick question - do you now include the interest in the first letter in the hope it may be included in the offer, i know that interest is not payable unless court action stage

I have received from the County courts a 2nd letter of "Notice that Acknowledgement of Service Has Been Filed"

Letter says "Defendant responded to the claim indicating an intention to defend all of the claim" (£2176).

The Bank have also given a new address for service of documents:

I have NEVER been offered any money, is this because I closed the account 3 years ago:question:

hi, i need some advice. Im in the process of reclaiming bank charges from barclays.(£1.700). I sent my second letter, requesting this amount back on 12/04/07. I have received 2 letters back since saying that they are unable to respond to my concerns at present and they will contact me no later than 14 june. I would like to know if i should wait, send them another letter or ring them. Is there a limit on how long they will keep stalling?

anyone tell what the proper wording is for the letter refusing a offer, but taking the offer and carrying on with courts for full amount thanks.

tell them thanks for the money, which you will take, but not as full and final settlement. importantly, state that you are taking the money "without prejudice".

Hi

I have started court procedings with barclays for £1847.42 and the judgment day is tuesday the 22nd, now this morning i have recieved an offer of 1120 from them so, do i sit and do nothing and wait for the court to rule in my favour on tuesday, ring barclays and ask them to up there offer, or except this and tell them i am going for the rest of the amount by the courts.
Bearing in mind i will have only monday to try and sort any of this out.
sorry for the confusion but i just dont know what to do
