hi could anyone help, i am claiming oin behalf of my girlfriend.
we have sent our letter to barclays requesting the full payment of £1,900
we have this morning received a letter from barclays saying''that i take this opportunity to explain that whilst we will endeavour to respond to you within timescale put;ined in your letter, we cannot guarantee that we will do so. Sometimes it does take longer to fully investigate a complaint. However we do aim to find a solution within 4 weeks. If we are not able to do so, we will always write to you explaining what is happening. A full report or an update on our progress will be sent tp you within eight weeks.
is this the norm??, or is this yet another delay tactic by barclays??,or should i just continue onto the next stage?

Unfortunatley this is the norm, they are just trying to stall you. So it's time to move on to the next step. And stick to your time scale.
But look on the bright side...if it gets to the court claim stage then think of all the interest you will earn. If they paid up from the first letter with me they would have saved a lot of money as my interest alone was just under £1000.

I reclaimed all of my charges(nearly £4000) in April, closed my account with them, a couple of weeks later they send me a paying in book and a letter to say sorry you are not happy with us we will resolve the matter of bank charges very soon. i gave them a call and confirmed that i had my money from them and that was the end of that, untill........today i get another letter offering me the FULL AMOUNT AGAIN. not sure if i should accept and put it in a high savings account untill they ask for it back?? What more can i do, i have told them enough times that i have my money back. IDIOTS!!!!!!

Take the money again then look in the paper for a horse with a suitable name i.e. Stop Paying or Ivadit or uwanitback.
Put the lot on the nose and if it loses just send them back the betting slip.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am joking by the way.

I think i will keep it for as long as pos. and then when they want it back i will charge them a handling fee that i will call ACCOUNT FEE @ £11.50 per month, should they send me a cheque this time and cancel the cheque realising thier misstake: then i will charge them £30 for doing so and see how they bloody like it!!!:p :p :rotfl: :rotfl:

If I am claiming from Woolwich, and they've moved my account to Barclays. Will this effect (or is it affect?) the claim?

I have just had my court date through for July with Barclays. Does anyone know how Barclays are playing it at the moment - are they going to court or should I heopfully expect a settlement in the next few weeks? They had already offered 1k but that was half the amount we are claiming.

    Thanks
