underground. Im not relying on the money - its just the timescales as it would be an extra 'nice to have' in time for our holiday - but having said that, patience is a virtue!! Hmmm, really can't decide - I am tempted to fight it all the way - I might speak to H and get our claim logged onto MCOL , help get things moving along more quickly - Im just a little nervouse as I have seen lots of posting from people who Barclays have logged a defence at the last minute but can't find anything that has happened after that.....

People are not losing against barclays, defences are sent in at the last minute and then the claimants are vanishing mysteriously into the wilderness with a huge big grin on their mushesKEEP GOING and get your claim in the court system....

Thanks Esmerellda - I'll speak to H about it this evening - Im gunning for a fight - after all whay should other people get all their money back and not us!! I am not intimidated by their tactics, by going through the forums on this site, I have been able to predict the exact wording of every letter they send. The only thing is, I have been a little confused by the process when it gets the court step as there are so many posts and queries on it from other users. Is there a basic step by step breakdown of what what to do when you get to the MCOl stage?
Thanks!!!!:heart2: Cookiepops :heart2:0 -
I Have filled in my allocation questionnaire and apart from the words suggested on CAG have added only the following into "other information". BTW the "defendant" is BarclaysI note that the defendant claims in their defence that I have not provided particulars of the account in question and the precise charges alleged to have been unlawful. This surprises me as I included this information in my letters to the defendant of December 28th 2006 and January 15th 2007 and it is as a result of these letters going unanswered I reluctantly and regretfully decided that there was no other course of action I could take but litigation.0

Thanks esmerellda
What is the difference please??
'Sounds like its a directions or allocation hearing so no bundle necessary - if you could type the court order out it'll be easier to help you prepare.'
Thanks

I'm just wondering about how Barclays settle pre-court?
Do they give you a call, or write to you? I've read that a couple of people have managed to find out the name of the person who is dealing with their claim at Barclays, and actually given them a call?
I know there's unlikely to be one set way, but general comments would be welcome.... can you tell I'm getting impatient? hehe0 -

In our initial offer letter we were actually assigned a customer relations advisor and the telephone number to call if we wished to discuss further. mind you we got nowhere doing that - I dont think Barclays budge easily.

Well, I've read and re-read all about what you brave people have done and sent of my DPA request to Barclays just over 2 weeks ago, and am now just waiting to get my statements back.
I've got my parachute account sorted, I've got a list of other places I'm going to claim from, I'm just a bit worried I've missed the boat and that they will have decided at Barclays Head Office that they are going to put all new claims in the bin!
I think there should be a little place on this website where we can all donate the price of a pint to the God of moneysaving - Martin Lewis!!!
