Just had the letter of offer from Barclays for £500.00 but owed £818 + £80 courts fees. Deadline on MCOL is Monday...so roll on Monday:rolleyes: , I wait for their late defence and then get ready for it to eventually be sent to my local court. I will not back down. As for Halifax they have acknowledge the claim so they have until 2nd April. Bring it on....;)

i have an account with barclays with a large overdraft which is £500 overdrawn.
i want to reclaim the charges as most of my overdraft is made up of them.
if i claim them can they make me pay the money off first or will my account be put "on hold" i have been told that these will happen, but i thought may be better to ask people who know what there talking about! lol
Thanks Guys:D0 -
The advice in the past has been to open up a "parachute account" just incase they close your account.
You should be able to get another bank account with a £500 overdraft quite easily.
Alliance & leciseter are offering 0% overdraft at the moment
Hope this is of some help, I'm sure a more expeirienced user will alspo beable to advise....

 I sent my AQ to the court at end of January, and phoned them this week to see what the hell the hold up was. They now tell me that the judge has done with the paper work and is now requesting a LIST of stuff for me to send in. I do not know what this list is but wondering if it will be the 'court bundle' that i need to send in,and they will not be giving me a court date till this paper work is sent in. Is this normal or Has anyone had this happen to them or am i the first on this one?
Getting so angry now as i started court papers at begining of december and still dont have a court date yet.:mad:Not just a white vanman:cool:
I'm no expert in things really but i do have 36 years of experience in life, and some of those years fighting off bailiffs.
