Erm yes? 35% is the average after 3-4 years.

but if people have money to throw away...

35% RETAINED VALUE is the average - so a £20,000 car is worth £7000

Here a £21,000 car is worth £10,700....

I had one on lease for 2 years, they really aren't as economical as they say they are; I'd not have one again.

Not in the Eco vehicle sector no! hence avoid them like the plague until battery technology improves.

Buy this second hand, and within a year or so if not sooner, the batteries will be useless and will cost 2-3k to replace.

I meant not in the large hatchback sector.

VW Passat, Ford Mondeo etc.

So even at 10K this is expensive .

So at 3 years it has 43% retained value - a 1.6 TDI Passat has 40%

What's your point about depreciation again?
