  • I had a store card about 6 years ago with Clydesdale which had aprrox £60on it, having paid off approx £250 over two years I am now being chased by a collections agency for nearly £700 in arrears and letters fees . I have been charge £25 a missed payment fee and £25 for every letter they sent ...they even tried to charge me £25 to change the date the payment was due on. I told them i was not paying the extortionate fees and now the collections agency are ringing me everyday and threatening court action ..any advice please I am desperate??

    Thanks in advance
  • Does anyone know where I can find a bank account number. I have an account which I want to claim against, but I can't find the number anywhere, not a statement, card or anything
I've been into the branch with i.d asking for them to send me a statement for the account (which hasn't been used for approx 2.5 years), they told me they couldn't do that, but could tell me the balance is £1.30.
    Any ideas please

I'd like to know the same thing as OH wants to claim for an account that was closed over a year ago and he doesn't have a record of the account number.

On another thread someone said if you write the first letter asking for the list of charges and put your full name, date of birth and home address you had at the time of the account, then it should be possible for them to trace you but I am hesitating trying this until I've heard from someone who can confirm it.

A while ago I was in quite a substantial amount of debt, due to an online gambling problem. I have since got over those 2 problems and am currently paying installments on a loan that I used to pay for my expensive lesson in gambling.

Anyway, After finding out that I am able to claim back for charges on my credit cards, I have decided I might go down the route of trying to reclaim. I am currently half way through the process of reclaiming for my Halifax bank account, but I find Credit Cards slightly more confusing, particularly now the accounts I had are all closed.

The Credit Cards I had are below, I have the account numbers and card numbers etc. but I have no idea under which financial institution each credit card comes under, and I dont know if the process of reclaiming on Credit Cards is the same. I wonder if anyone could help? The credit cards I had are as follows.

    Virgin
    Marbles
    Mint
    Morgan Stanley
    Capital One
    Egg
    Citicard
    Halifax Credit Card

    thanks in advance

Yes - it does not matter if the account is open or closed

The process is exactly the same. If you have the statements, start sending the letters.
