  • Quick Question.......Can you claim your charges if you no longer belong to that bank? I was with Halifax 3 years ago and have charges of £200, shall I go for it. Also Barclays Whom i am no longer with...what do you think????
  • Yes to all the new posts on this thread, you can claim on a closed account. If you don't have your account information please send you name, any relevant address and your date of birth along with your letter asking for all information/statements to the first address list in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.

    Hi All

    Newbie here! Think the site and forums are an amazing resource, it is brilliant they are here. I have a couple of questions. I'm in the process of claiming about 500 smackers from First Direct, but I have also had a heap of charges on my Ikea store card (Ikano services).

    Firstly - can I reclaim these as well? And secondly - is the process the same as reclaiming from a bank or credit card? If someone could let me know of point me in the direction of a link I might have missed I'd really appreciate it.

    Cheers!

    Yes, you can claim and it's the same process as reclaiming from a Credit Card.

    I a natwest account 3-4 years ago and got into a bit of debt because of all the charges I was getting on my account. I was only 3.00 overdrawn when the charges esculated to over 150.00. Can I claim any of this back as the account is now closed?

    Hello,

    Capital One were supposted to reply today for my request for unfair card charges. I requested that they pay me back and supplied proof of charges plus interest.

    The deadline for a response is today, I haven't heard anything. Should I;

    a. Give them another day or so?
    b. Write them a reminder letter?
    c. Go ahead and issue a court order?
  • Yup you can make a claim going back up to 6 years from now
