I am in the process of claiming from a closed account ( i have requested statements). The the bank has passed a debt of £300 to a debt collection agency. I think any reclaimed charges would cover most if not all of this sum.
Is there any way of stalling the debt collectors until the matter is settled?

How would it go if I claimed for late payment fees from the credit card companies, you know, you forget the due date on your monthly payment and the company charges you £20/£25 for the privilege?
Is it worth digging out the past 6 years statements and writing to the companies?[STRIKE]Mortgage End Date: April 2025[/STRIKE]
