thanks edinburghlass,
also, can you tell me, for the letter, should i ask for all statements from close of account to 6 years or do i ask for my personal details of the account.
if the latter, will they automaticaly send the statemnets??
thanks0 -
You are asking for all Data Protection held in your name. This may come in the form of statements or it may come in the form of lists that you have to look through to find the charges. If you ask for statements they may come back and say "certainly, that will be £5 each statement" so don't specifically ask for statements.
One point is the 6 years back is from now rather than 6 years back from when you closed the account.0 -

Yes, some people have their accounts closed. You need to open a parachute account in case this happens.0 -
cheers nickmack,
is it only that account they can close?? i have 2 with nationwide, one is for payment of the morgage. what will happen if they close the acount which the morgage comes out of??0 -
Lizzy wrote:Yes of you can. But once the DMP get wind I don't think it will be yours. Also did you leave the bank in a minus position. If it was due to charges you might get to keep them if not the bank may keep what they think is theirs and let you have the rest if any.
I am not bothered about the fact that I am on dmp I am even willing to use that money to clear what I know, I have sent the letter off to Barclays and am just waiting, have received letter from A&L ... is isnormal for them to ask for £10????
I left Barclays on Bad terms, and I had to live off £5 per week once they had taken off their chrages cos they kept taking all my benefits off of me, at the time i wan;t working and living off of an overdraft, I know its stoopid but my OH was the only one working, and I suffered with major depression.Proud to be me, proud to be who I am!!0 -
