If you want to change the court bundle, or add any info to it. You would need to use form N244 (£35 non refundable) to request the judge adds this to your bundle. I don't think you need to do this. I would take a copy along with me, and bring it up if the opportunity presents itself. The judge may, or may not allow you to use this.

From your posts, I believe you have done everything absolutely spot on so far. I've got no doubts you are reading up as much as possible as well to prepare yourself in the (very unlikely) event that Natwest actually turns up to defend this claim. It's not too late for Natwest to offer to settle yet. There was a case recently that the person went to court against Abbey, and the bank phoned up and made the offer while the claimant was sitting waiting to go into court. If this happens, or Natwest make an offer just before you go in. I would advise you to go into court to inform the judge, and let him record this. It will give you a fallback in case the money doesn't show up. Don't be persuaded to not go into the hearing if the bank leaves it this late to make an offer. The judge will strike out your claim, and you wont have any redress.

  • Hi,
Well I started my claim at the end of Oct 06 and I'm currently awaiting a court date, I've been transfered to three different courts now and according to my local court, my claim is with the judge (has been now for nearly 2 wks ) !!!

I'm expecting to have to go to court and have read alot on this forum which I'm hoping has prepared me for the day !!
With no understanding of any legal stuff would I benifit in purchasing a claims pack ?

    Thank you

Hi if Rex or another wise man are available?
I have my MCOL paperwork through now, they have allocated me a court in Northampton. I live in London. Is this something that I should be trying to get moved to a court near me, or working on the principle that it is unlikly ever to get that far leave it alone? Thanks.
Sorry to be a pest Rex, like Ken. W. I am keen to get it right.
Whoever said "it's only money" had too much of it!;)

  • Hi there

This is my first post on here so I hope someone can help me.

I received copy statements for the last 6 years yesterday from natwest and have noticed there are alot of card misuse charges on there at various different amounts - can I claim these back too ? They are basically where I had no money and used a cheque guarantee card and wrote cheque to be able to use my wages which had been paid into my account by bacs - but as I was overdrawn my wages would get swallowed up by the o/d

When my account defaulted I owed Natwest £2113.71 and Ive been through the statments and nearly £1.4k are charges !!!!

    Help anyone ?

Yes, you can claim card misuse chages. If you look at the Initial thread posts there is a list of what you can and can't claim for.

  • Just to say that my gf has received a letter today form NatWest offering her £2669 back, she claimed for £3300. But shes really happy for the amount offered so she's gonna accpet it.

I am waiting for the Halifax to responed to my 1st letter so I can receive my statements, so hopefully too I can reclaim some charges but it wont be too much as I've been fairly good with my money for a few years.

But to anyone thinking about it just do it as I had to push my OH for bout 3 months before she started.

  • OOOh i'm so angry:mad:

Took a letter into my branch 3 weeks ago requesting statements etc and paid £5 for them AND got a reciept.
When i checked my online banking they had paid the £5 back into my account  so last friday i posted a letter to the Borehamwood address including a cheque for the £5,as i didnt want them stalling by saying i hadn't paid.
Sure enough on Saturday morning i recieved a letter saying yes we are willing to provide you with the info.....but you need to send £5 first!! (so glad i'd already done it!)..........not heard anything since so far, but they have plenty of time!

Anyway......And this is where i get even madder(!!). Natwest have for the last 3 months charged us referral fee's of £60 (had £50 refunded after a phone call ) BUT they have sent us no notification of the charges OR when they would leave the account, Not even on my statements. Have been checking back and noticed they had been taken out on the 10th of each month. So i rang them after the last one....and was told i had a £30 referral charge going out this month too. The only reason why i've been going over the o/d is because they take out these charges...and then charge £28 at the end of the month too for going over....which i've only done because of the charges!!! Checked bank yesterday at 4pm.....had £20 pound in(which i left). checked this morning as wages went in.......and lo and behold........referral charge showing as gone out yesterday £60 !!!!!!!!! Not the £30 they said.....OR on the same day as all the others were taken!! So they sent me overdrawn AGAIN for which they will charge me another £28 at the end of the month!!!

Cant wait to get started when those statements arrive!

Apologies for the long rant.......feel better now!
