Having gone through the various letter writing stages, all of which have been ignored by Natwest, I am now completing the Claim Form for the small claims court, and I would appreciate advice on the following points:
1. What, if any, documentation should be attached to the claim form? Copy letters? Copy calculations and interest form?
2. How much information to include in the Particulars of Claim: just the details filled as per the sample from this site, or more detail?
Thanks in advance!

This tendency of NatWest to send statements rather than a list of charges - another way of delaying does anyone think. INcreasingly, people seem to be saying they just received a batch of statements (which I also did) and I can't help but think it's for several reasons:
1. To put you off going through them
2. So you have to go through all the statements yourself, it increases the chance of human error (ie some charges being missed)
3. To put off the claim that little bit longer to buy them more time with other claims.
Anyone agree?0 -

I have posted here a couple of times about Nat West statements, they can't give you just a print out of the charges. (from a frendly and supportive member of Nat West staff) The computer won't let them as they have 2 systems in place, the old Nat West one which has now been archived, and the new RBS one since the take-over. The two systems run different date formats and statement periods.
I'm sure if Nat West had though of it as a stalling tactic they would have done it, but it's there anyway.Whoever said "it's only money" had too much of it!;)
Nat West under my belt £4532, LTSB, £7300, Barclays, £2300, First Bank of America, £3200. Rates overcharge £1700. Just working on Egg0 -

they can yea but all you have to do is ring em up and tell em straight "oi get it refunded you thieving tramps" if they dont bang em for it via the claim templates on ere :-)0 -
£40? That seems a bit steep!
Ask for it back straight away and you may have some success.Claiming against Nationwide £2500Others to come!0 -
Aren't NatWest and RBS part of the same company now? cos last time this happened with my RBS account I just rang them and they refunded me straight away. The money was back in my account the very next morning. (could have been earlier but that is the next time I checked)
I was told that the charges are only there as a deterrent and most people don't complain about it but if you do they will refund you as you will have taken note of it happening and it shouldn't happen again. Well that is the theory apparently~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't ever stop believing........

i had this with them last week 38 pound charge for being 2 quid short! which had atcually been transferd from another account to cover it but they took d/d before putting the other money in- any way i called the told them it was totally unjustified and they refunded it as a good will gesture!
so give them a call stand your ground and im sure they will refund you.
