Baggiebird1nil wrote:Hi, Baggie, could you confirm please, you sent your 1st letter to the branch on 23rd Jan and have had a Higley back already?
I always thought most of my branch staff were a bit slow on the uptake (35 years experience!), My 1st letter was signed for by the junior manager on the 16th, and I have not heard a dicky Bird! :A
I sent my first letter on the 23rd to my branch and sent a cc copy to the customer relations people in Borehamwood so it looks like that is the place to send your first letter.

Thanks Kate,
Question to Rex please........
Is this to my advantage that my letter has not got to Mr Higley yet? Also, my letter was dated 10th Jan, but only signed for at the branch on the 16th. Should I proceed to count my 14 days from the date they recieved/signed for it, or the date on the letter?
Thanks, Nick.:think:Whoever said "it's only money" had too much of it!;)

No advantage/disadvantage really. You will probably receive the standard fob off anyway. You should always count the time you set out in your letter from the time they receive it. If you send a standard letter (not signed for), you can presume they have received it two days after you've posted it (even the courts do this with their paperwork). How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Thanks Rex,
I am now creating my MCOL claim, and have arrived at the particulars of claim bit. The interest bit is easy as they handily provide a pop-up that you can cut, paste and edit. Is there somewhere here a template for the Particulars of claim? I'm not being lazy, I have had a good crawl around the Website and can't find one. (Poss. a handy one to have in with the letter templates?) I need to make sure I get it right. Can you give me a link? Thanks in anticipationWhoever said "it's only money" had too much of it!;)

Post #6 in THIS THREAD has all the details you need to fill in the MCOL form. You don't need to paste the pop up about interest. It is already included in the template for the particulars. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

As the account I am reclaiming charges on is a joint account with my wife I have modified all the letters so far to we/us instead of I. and we have both printed and signed our names. Will the MCOL have to be in joint names too, or can I just use my name? Thanks.Whoever said "it's only money" had too much of it!;)

Just to bring you bang up to date, I received my Court date today: February 15th
I'll write up exactly what happens in the following weeks leading up to that date. Btw, to help calm the nerves of posters who are just entering into the whole Court thing .. in the letter I received today, the time allocated for the hearing is 20 MINUTES ( .. and that's even if it does go to Court)
.. not a long time to be in Court, is it?Nat West = CONQUERED: 10/02/07 .. PAID UP IN FULL .. OVER £2800!! :j0 -
I'm about to claim from Nat West for 3 separate accounts. The MSE site states it should cost a maximum of £10 to find out how much you have been charged over the years. Is this for all your accounts or just one?0

I have a loan with my bank. Can this be affected? I.E. Ask me to repay the loan back? If i have a credit card with the bank does the same apply?0

As long as you've kept up with all the loan and credit card payments, you should be fine (they are seperate agreements). If they've been in default at all, they could ask for these to be repaid. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
