Have just received a letter pp'd from Mr. Higley saying that he is looking into my claim. I sent my letter on 23rd to my branch and also copied in the Customer Relations department at Borehamwood. Good advice from someone on this thread as the branch obviously pass it on so it looks like I've bypassed that delay. They now have till 6th Feb to respond or they will get 7 day reminder.
Address for customer relations is:
Customer Relations
Ground Floor
National Westminster House
225 Shenley Road
Borehamwood
WD6 1TE.
Looks like this is the address to send your letter asking for a refund.
Thanks Martin and everyone for a great site, information and encouragement.

Hi everyone
Just wondering if you could help me out. Ive just started proceedings for claiming £600 back from TSB and would like to do it for all my othe accounts in the past with Natwest (3 in total). Only problem is i closed the account 2 and half years ago and still owe them money (which is managed under a debt managment scheme) so would i still be eligable to claim the charges back? with the aim of paying off the out standing debt?
Anyone??

Hi folks,
I've just received my Court Allocation questionnaire, which I'm filling in thanks to the info on this site (). I also received with it a copy of Natwest's defence, and a CPR Part 18 request, which looks quite scary. According to the Bank Action Group website,it's possible to simply send Cobbett's a letter stating that you anticipate that the claim will be allocated to the Small Claims track, and therefore you are not prepared to answer the request, and just enclose another copy of your claim schedule and your bank details.
Has anyone tried this, and if so, what was the result? I'm claiming back approx £1500, so I'm fairly sure it'll go onto the Small Claims track.
If anyone has a different suggestion, that's welcome too.
Thanks0 -

Start the process off with Natwest. Send the first letter requesting the data they hold on you. Include all the account numbers on the same letter, and send this with one £10 payment. You can claim these charges back. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Ken.W has had this request, see THIS POST.
You need to write to Cobbetts explaining what you have outlined in your post. You should also mention that sending this CPR 18 request is intimidation, and you will inform the judge of this. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Thanks, Rex_Mundi,
Can I say you've been incredibly helpful with answering all my questions throughout my claim, and I really appreciate it.0 -

Hi, Baggie, could you confirm please, you sent your 1st letter to the branch on 23rd Jan and have had a Higley back already?
I always thought most of my branch staff were a bit slow on the uptake (35 years experience!), My 1st letter was signed for by the junior manager on the 16th, and I have not heard a dicky Bird! :AWhoever said "it's only money" had too much of it!;)
Nat West under my belt £4532, LTSB, £7300, Barclays, £2300, First Bank of America, £3200. Rates overcharge £1700. Just working on Egg0 -

You should be able to start a claim as you understand the money will go towards paying off the debt.0 -

I sent my first letter on the 23rd to my branch and sent a cc copy to the customer relations people in Borehamwood so it looks like that is the place to send your first letter.
