Hi
I filled out the moneyclaimonline yesterday and put my local branch address in the box , but after reading through the forums I noticed that you should put the main address in. The only problem is it now when I checked this morning and it say the claim has started.
Have I messed up allready.....
Thanks for any help / advice0 -
Bank: Natwest
Amount Claimed: £2,992.00
Amount Recieved: Nothing Yet
I sent out my first letter 13 days ago today. Yesterday I got a letter saying that it has been referred to the customer relations department and have given me a phone number. The questions I'm gonna ask :
Has anyone had the same done to them?
Should I send my second letter tomorrow as planned?
If so should I send it to the customer relations dept. or my branch again?
Also in general, do most claims get paid back or has the figures of success stories dropped?
Thanks everyone.

Hi all just to let you know I sent my first letter requesting all my charges back on the 4th of January and today I recieved an offer of all my charges back, but without the interest.
In all I'm very happy at that and I'm going to accept!:T :T :T
Jusy one question I've heard a couple of stories about them changing thier minds after they have offered you the money... how likely is this?0 -
Well done Barry! may I ask how much and which bank?Whoever said "it's only money" had too much of it!;)
Nat West under my belt £4532, LTSB, £7300, Barclays, £2300, First Bank of America, £3200. Rates overcharge £1700. Just working on Egg0 -
Just a quick question - When sending the bank a list of charges do I need to send a copy of the actual statements or am I able to just send a detailed list, i've done myself (date, type of charge, amount)? Hope this makes sense!!!Operation House Move £11993.60/£25000 (47% achieved)

You should be OK. The address makes the biggest difference if you have to send bailiffs in. You shouldn't need to get this far.superjay wrote:Has anyone had the same done to them?

Natwest seem to like taking it as far as court (but not every case). They settle sometime at the court stage (before it gets to a hearing).
Send your second letter as planned.
Natwest now have a department dealing with these claims. Send the next letter to the customer relations department.
It still seems that 99.9% of claims are being settled by the banks.larlie1983 wrote:Just a quick question - When sending the bank a list of charges do I need to send a copy of the actual statements or am I able to just send a detailed list, i've done myself (date, type of charge, amount)? A detailed list is fine. It's better to keep hold of your statements. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hi, I want to prepare my claim ready for next week. I know i am getting ahead of myself, but i have to do it when i get time (having two small kids about)....
Can someone tell me. On the Defendants page it asks for the address for the company that i am claiming against. This is obviously Natwest. My question is that i have several, i have two branch addresses, i now have the Bishopsgate address and also the Birmingham Collections Department.
Any ideas as to what address i should put in.
Sorry if this question has already been asked.
thanks
