Natwest have until midnight on Saturday 9th June (a week tomorrow) to aknowledge my MCOL claim. If i do not hear from them by that time, should i hit the judgment button at midnight +1 min or wait until monday 11th to do it?
Any advice would be great!
Thanks
Hello, I think you'll find the critters will acknowledge the day before the deadline - they took it right to the edge on both of mine!! I was so angry! But yes, if they don't acknowledge, I would be there with your mouse over that judgement - don't give them a second more than they need!!
Good luck!0 -
hi guys this thread is huge now.
Natwest have also filed a acknowledgment on the day before the 14 days are up. Could someone please advise what they will do next.
cheers

Hi
This is very common with Nat West, just another stalling tactic. I stuck to my own time scales and they caved eventually.
Good luck x
Interesting re timescales. I had an offer from Nat west which for various reasons I chose to accept
I sent an acceptance , first class on BH Monday ( post was working ) This with a proviso that I wanted the money inmy account in 48 hrs
I also have a Mcol claim which needs a response from me by 7th June and I am not goin g to stop until money in bank.
They should have recieved my letter Tuesday or wed
I T/C Friday am They had no record on the system of my letter. I suggested that I fax a copy. They do not accept a fax acceptance .No Point "Just because the letter is not on th e computer system does not mean that they have not got it yet" It can take 14 days to get through .
On 'my internet system' it shows that I have been charged a further £ 90 which takes me over my O/d limit and may result in calling in my OD Soon monday Battle will commence again I will submit that they should wait 14 days to add the extra charges Thus I will not be over my limit How come when NAt west want money off me they want it nowbut when they owe me they need time eg at least 14 days or 40 or 560 -

Hiya - the bank is allowed a total of 28 days from the date from when they are served with the claim to reply - so they've got 14 days now to either file a defence or decide to pay up. At the 11th hour, they filed a defence on my claim - it could now drag on for some time to come.
Mostly it's just stalling tactics by them, and a waiting game for us. Use the time to read up on the forum on how to deal with solicitors letters etc, and take a look in the MCOL thread.

Hi Guys
Just seeing if you can advise me on what to do next. I have sent the letter asking for my charges back, approx £450, I have now received a letter saying
"..we are currently considering your claim. Given the work involved in assessing your claim we anticipate that we will be in a position to respond within 6-7 weeks, but will endeavor to do so sooner if we are able to."
Has anybody else received anything like this before, my friend has also gotten the same letter from Natwest. Help would be grateful. Thanks in advanced.
Cheers

Dunc 64.
Had same letter last week. Posted same query a couple of days ago, #3597. Had replay from Ladywith Lamp saying she e mailed them back to complain. Got offer through post the following week. Not tried this yet as there is no e mail or telephone details on the letter.
Does anyone know the e mail address? Or shed anymore light onthe best way to proceed.0 -
My friend has just called to say that she got an offer letter this morning for the full amount of £2100. This has taken me 9 weeks from start to finish and I didnt even bother doing the thing through the court, just the bulk standard letters-just to see how it went.
This is my 3rd success now...2 with Natwest and 1 with Woolwich...total amount 6.5k.
