    Hi all
    More questions I'm afraid:o
    I have had a search but it's a big thread & I can't find the answers so:

I have received my statements from NW (quicker than expected). We were charged £90 on 04/05/04r 3 unpaid d/d's but I have found a Natwest refund on 11/06/04 for £60. I don't know what's this is for but assume it's 2 of these earlier charges. Should I include this in my claim or query it with them?

Also - claiming interest - we closed the account on 04/04/06; how should I calculate the interest due?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi - regarding the interest - I'd use Martin's calculator I don't think the fact that the account is closed is relevant to your claim they still owe you the money NOW.
But I'm not sure you should add any interest until you get to court - the calculator keeps it separate when you print out the table anyway - if after 28 days they still haven't made an acceptable offer the interest will have increased and still be accruing.
    Good luck. :D

With regard to the refund...ignore it...I read way back that if they want to offer you a goodwill gesture of £60 that's up to them (don't even mention it)...I ignored a refund of £150 and it was never picked up! Interest should be calculated incase it goes to court but if they settle out you won't get it.

    Good luck!
  • Hi folks,

Would like a bit of advice please. I have just received a letter from NatWest telling me that I recently went overdrawn and have whacked me with a £30 'Paid Referral Fee' for their trouble. Has any body heard of this title? Is it just a fancy name for a penalty charge and can I claim it back at all?

Apologies if this question has been asked before/elsewhere.

    Thanks

  • Hi everyone.

I know this may have already been answered but if someone would be kind enough to help that would be great.
I am at the MCOL stage 4 days left and Natwest still aint put in a defence although i expect that to happen!
I have incurred further charges since my claim and i wondered if at any point between now and when they may take it to court can i include them?
I really dont want to do all of this again!!

My father has had a full refund from natwest and he started his claim after mine.. its now in his bank!
My brother has had an offer and is going to accept.

So keep with it everyone as people are getting the money... Just not me!!

    Hi Guys

Just seeing if you can advise me on what to do next. I have sent the letter asking for my charges back, approx £450, I have now received a letter saying

"..we are currently considering your claim. Given the work involved in assessing your claim we anticipate that we will be in a position to respond within 6-7 weeks, but will endeavor to do so sooner if we are able to."

Has anybody else received anything like this before, my friend has also gotten the same letter from Natwest. Help would be grateful. Thanks in advanced.

    Cheers

    Hi frizzielizzie

Do you mean the timescales given by natwest or timescales given on here? If it is the later could do me a favour and tell me what the timescales are? Thanks

    Hi

This is very common with Nat West, just another stalling tactic. I stuck to my own time scales and they caved eventually.

    Good luck x
  • Hi everyone.
Natwest have until midnight on Saturday 9th June (a week tomorrow) to aknowledge my MCOL claim. If i do not hear from them by that time, should i hit the judgment button at midnight +1 min or wait until monday 11th to do it?
    Any advice would be great!
    Thanks
