got a letter today which is the first time natwest have even acknowledged my claim offering just under £4000 (claim inc £120 for mcol is just over £5000) now i got to think i really dont know whether to take the money and run or carry on with my mcol claim which i started on Thursday
arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I really dont know what to do about this whats the general consensus?
If i refuse the sum (which as martin states is £4000 more than i thought i would get) is there any possibility of me losing altogether?
I would think as they have offered me a substantial sum that they obviously feel that is cheaper than going to court
Any thoughts on what to do would be welcome as the board has helped me a lot so farReceived £4541 reclaimed from Natwest :j:T0 -

snotty woman said straightaway, when did i receive acknowdgement letter, i said you never sent one, she said well i am sure you have been told 8 weeks, and i you can't keep phoning....very snotty women, i told her that it was my right to phone when i wanted to, she said : well i can't tell you anything over the phone.. i said : oh thats strange, everybody else i have spoken to has and whats the difference with you, she said.. wait for letter of offer, i said thats if i ever receive one and thank you for being so polite and helpful as when i complain to fo that is more i can add, and put the phone down.
nothing mentioned about not being able to use the template of charges.
sorry for babbling
I dont think they know what they are doing to be honest, as i was told the other day that i dont send out acknowledgement letters, why do they have to be so rude.0 -
Is there any news on Mr Brennans court case today?
ChrissieWhen one door closes, another one always opens, but sometimes it's hell in the hallway:rolleyes:0 -
I am successfully in the middle of reclaiming my full amount of charges with Natwest to the amount of £2400.
This has so far been without any defence and has'nt reached the stage of going to court, althought they do take a while to respond to letters.
However for anyone who is also trying to reclaim from Natwest this might be of some assistance.
As I say they are returning the full list of charges requested, they have also added that they will refund any charges on my account I have been hit with since my claim started, in this case over £300.
To do this I have to provide statements covering the relevant dates, highlight the additional charges and supply this with a letter when I send back my settlement paperwork.
This has taken a bit of time as apparently they have 8 weeks to respond to a claim according to the Financial Standard Authorities.
They have also set up another department so you don't keep ending up talking to their lending team who are'nt much help anyway.
The number is 0845 3030456
However be warned that they will be downgrading any successful claimants to their most basic account, basically meaning you won't have an overdraft facility but if you've set up the parachute account as advised at the beginning this won't be a problem.
Hope this helps!!!!!!:jNATWEST Amount Claimed £2860 Amount Received £2860

I called Natwest today, to chase up statements. I was given the number 0800 0154212 then press option 1.
They deal with complaints for accounts and are dealing with charges. Hope it helps.0 -

You'll be lucky if you get a quick response though and apparently they have told people on this thread they dont reply to emails but some people including myself eventually got a response by email - would you believe it! :rotfl:
I felt elated to find the email address as I'd had months of NO Response Emailed and it took Nat West approx 9- 10 days to respond, Hooray. But if I took as long at work then I think that I'd get a serious complaint. the reponse was " we acknowledge your email and have passed it on to the appropriate dept"
So do not hold your breath for a "kick into action"0 -

timewilltell wrote: »hi when i spoke to cru last week they said money goes into account 10 - 14 days.
I was told 10 days, then 10 working days, and then 14 working days, then I was told the money had been transferred but they didn't know where it had gone, then I was told they never received my acceptence and that they'd send out a new offer letter and then.............wait for it..........drum roll...........the money went into my account :T So for me about a month, but it should be 14 working days at the most 'apparently' :rolleyes:0
