  • its not as if they are even going by how much people are claiming, i assumed the smaller amounts would be dealt with quicker, i. e. paid straight back, but this is not the case, let us know your outcome smudgemanc26. should be interesting mmmmmmm.

Well ive just spoken with the customer relations manager and been told i wont be receiving my offer letter by tomorrow!! Even though all through this process i have been told that i would receive it within the 7th week 8th week at the latest!

So angry she said that they are working to a strict date timescale and when i said that other people who have claimed after me have had their offers already she said that she couldnt comment on that!

Looks like i have no choice but to go through MCOL and i am going to contact the FO again and tell them off this whole fiasco!

It doesnt hold out much hope for people who get told all kinds of lies she even said they are only up to march claims and when i said a lady told me that last week she said she didnt know why they had said that.

Im sick of being fobbed off all the time its disgusting and just goes to show that you get told anything on the phone so really theres no point in ringing!

    hi all,

smudgemanc26 i cant believe you still have had no offer! That is disgusting!
Others seem to get an offer in no time while others have a carry on..
i wonder if they are paying out smaller claims without a problem and its the bigger clims they dont want to settle..my claim is for over 8000 quid.
Try and have a good holiday and try not to stress over it..we will get there in the end..

I heard y'day that they armet allowed to take charges out of a benefit payment..do you know if this is correct?
    thanks

so... they are working to a strict timescale are they, well the timescale that they gave you is up, so they are not being that strict. do you think they go home at night and think mmmm tomorrow i will tell the customers this, and friday i will tell them that...
really in a quander, do i really want to wait another 2 weeks to see if i get an offer, do i want to take them to court(which i will probably end up doing) or shall i contact FO.

See i just dont get this at all - msc1977 has just put that the first letter was sent on the 29th March and they have had an offer.

Mine was sent on the 22nd March (they received it) was actually dated 20th march sent recorded delivery - yet i have had no offer at all and its in my 8th week - where is the so called 8 week timescale for everyone surely mine would be dealt with before as mine was sent before the 29th!!

so so mad now especially just reading your last post timewilltell!

Gonna ring the manager see what she has to say!

Hi there - i dont know if it helps at all but on the few phone calls i made i got the impression (and it was just an impression) that some claims are being dealt with by Natwest staff at Borehamwood and others are being delat with by RBS staff in Edinburgh (regardless of who you bank with), from what i've read the RBS centre is dealing with claims much quicker a - and this would make sense as i was told in my first call that mine had been passed to Edinburgh to respond to. I could be wrong but like i say this is the impression i got, and i also think that the smaller amounts are being dealt with in Edinburgh (mine was less than £1000).

    Hope you hear something soon.

    have just received an e mail;
in view of volumes of similar requests it is nlikely that your claim will be dealt with before the timescale already given, if you are unwilling to bear with us then it is your perogative to progress your claim thrugh other chanels, if that means raisig court action then that is a decision only you can make, although i do hope you will give us a chance to consider your claim beore doing so.

    ha ha its laughable
    HI,
    the cheek of them eh?
when did you send your email cos i sent another 1 on sunday night and still waiting for response..
Give them a chance to consider your claim...? They have had weeks to consider it and letters and a million calls and emails..
Im in a mood agin now im going to ring them ..

Mine is just under a thousand pound with the extra charges its over. The lady manager told me they are not being dealt with there that Edinburgh are dealing with them i dont think it makes a difference. I wouldnt call it quick either this is 8 weeks now im so annoyed.

Just telephoned the FO about my earlier complaint as they are so inundated too its gonna take them a while to get round to everyones.

Its seems like a lose lose situation i am in. I cant afford the MCOL but i dont want to be hanging on for ages for my offer - they need to be punished!

It is disgusting so much for THEIR 8 week timescale. My claim is for just under a thousand so it makes no difference i dont think i think they are just randomly picking up peoples claims like a lottery. Its not fair.

I dont know what to do now i cant afford to put a claim on MCOL but i dont want to be hanging on for my offer letter which she says will be next week!

I cant even think about my holiday now im going to have to ask my dad to lend me some money now and be on a budget even when im there and its all natwest's fault i really do feel like crying and getting upset writing this.

I have just spoken with the FO they are so busy even thats not gonna help speed up my claim.

I have no where to go from here now complained and spoke to everyone i could and have got no where.
