Hi All
Just been catching up on whats happened yesterday as i wasnt able to log on. I see nothing much from the comments posted!
Jo - I did receive an acknowledgement letter from the FO regarding my complaint about Natwest at least they have the decency to respond!
Well heres an update on my case - I was told by several members of the natwest customer relations team that i should receive my offer this week (this being in its 8th week and all!) and to no suprise what so ever i still havent got it and its thursday today! Tomorrow is their last day and coincidentally it is my day to file my complaint on MCOL as their 14 days is up. So if i dont receive anything i am going to have to borrow the money and file my claim cos ive just about had enough!
I rang them yesterday and spoke to someone else not very helpful who gave the standard 8 weeks drivel so we shall just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow.
Why oh why cant they just send letters out as and when instead of having to wait till the final hour i mean the amount of times i have rang you would have thought someone might just have the sense to put the letter in the god damm post!
To make matters worse i am due to go away on a holiday next week and was relying on this money back to make my holiday better and have spending money - instead ive had nothing but stress from natwest which has put a dampner on the whole thing and it looks like i wont get my money in my bank on time so will have to borrow some - this is not what i wanted to do and its made me so mad especially when the bank owe me money and wont pay!
I hope someone gets so good news soon cos this has all been abit depressing lately we just all seem to be getting strung along.
PS - Brighton man who have you complained about - what have i missed on a thread?
Good luck everyone Jen xLBM - April 2007Claimed back my bank charges from Natwest - £1196Halifax Credit Card Claiming £467.35 Rec £467.35!/Capital One Card Claiming - £523.92/Barclaycard Claiming - £403.58 Rec £403.58/MBNA Claiming - £584.37 Rec£584.37Proud to be dealing with my debtsUpdate: 2009 - Currently claiming £1900 from Natwest0 -

good morning, i have telephoned them today,(even tho i said i never would) its like an addiction, and the not knowing is soooooooo maddening, usual dribble from the snotty woman, 8wks should get letter by end may, 10-14 days for money to go into account, so i asked her did it take 10-14 days for the bank to take my charges out today and where is my letter informing me they have, also told her i wasn't surprised i had no letter as they can,t even notify me about charges, she said put in a complaint, i laughed and said i already had and that was in feb, they should of got back to me in 3 days, 3 months later and nothing. so yet again...... cheesed right off,0 -
smudgemanc26, have you tried phoning the customers relation manager, 0208 2368229, and asking her if it has been validated and what the offer is, and where the bloody hell your letter is.
just a thought.0 -
Undecided what to do?
I received my Statements within a week of requesting them in early April and sent my 1st letter requesting paying back of charges on 16th April giving them 14days to reply. I received a letter back from Natwest within 5 days saying that they were investigating and would reply asap. On 1st May I sent Natwest the LBA letter again giving them 14days to refund charges. This was signed for on 2nd May but have not received a letter response.
I telephoned on Tues. to see whether an offer had been made. They acknowledged receipt of both letters and said I would receive something by 14th June at the latest!
Now, do I hang on for a few weeks as they suggest or proceed with MCOL? I am claiming £1550 without any interest added.
How many people have simply waited and been rewarded for their patience without the need for MCOL?0 -

have just received an e mail;
in view of volumes of similar requests it is nlikely that your claim will be dealt with before the timescale already given, if you are unwilling to bear with us then it is your perogative to progress your claim thrugh other chanels, if that means raisig court action then that is a decision only you can make, although i do hope you will give us a chance to consider your claim beore doing so.
ha ha its laughable0 -
See i just dont get this at all - msc1977 has just put that the first letter was sent on the 29th March and they have had an offer.
Mine was sent on the 22nd March (they received it) was actually dated 20th march sent recorded delivery - yet i have had no offer at all and its in my 8th week - where is the so called 8 week timescale for everyone surely mine would be dealt with before as mine was sent before the 29th!!
so so mad now especially just reading your last post timewilltell!
