Jen, that's quite right. We have to see what this site is doing as the beginning of a movement, thousands of individual consumers coming together to take on the greedy corporations, in the hope that our children won't be subjected to the same iniquities.
The fact is that banks charges are just one of the things that I have become angry about in recent years. I'm sure we all have a bee in our bonnet about certain things. One of mine is mineral water in plastic bottles that's imported from abroad, then the bottles just end up in our landfills! And at the same time, the companies doing it are making millions out of something we can just turn on our taps for. Daft, innit?
Anyway, that's waaaaay off topic, but just an illustration of the fact that there are many causes that could do with websites like this.
Right, time to go do some work!

Sorry hun its a question of waiting now. I sent emails too and added on extra charges whether or not they will actually get round to reading this and upping the offer i dont know but im that sick of it all for the extra i think i'll leave it cant be a*sed anymore.
i too sent a email of complaint which the lady manager had today and since hearing that load of !!!!!! today ive emailed a proper complaint for her attention and copied in the FO.
They need a good kick up the a*se for this im telling you and the way i feel today im gonna be the one doing the kicking!
If you can resist just try not to ring after all they just lie to you. Thats it now im done with trying to find out whats happening they dont seem to know their a*se from their elbow and its only frustrates you more.
Were just gonna have to play the waiting game now
Oh just read but why are you giving them 56 days? Oh rite you should have filed MCOL on the 8th May is that right? But you are gonna wait the 8 weeks instead. Get you now :rotfl:
Well you never know you might get resolved before your 8 weeks although if they told me they are sticking to tight deadlines ie when the claims are made and if mine is not settled already your's may go over like mine
Apparently they are only dealing with claims from March now but reading the success stories thats just another lie too as people have submitted and got offers even when they claimed after march!LBM - April 2007Claimed back my bank charges from Natwest - £1196Halifax Credit Card Claiming £467.35 Rec £467.35!/Capital One Card Claiming - £523.92/Barclaycard Claiming - £403.58 Rec £403.58/MBNA Claiming - £584.37 Rec£584.37Proud to be dealing with my debtsUpdate: 2009 - Currently claiming £1900 from Natwest0 -

Thanks for that smudgemanc26..
ive just rand the 020 number, got straight thru no holding.
spoke to a lady called Kathy.
she said they received all of my emails and letters and confirmed the total im charging from them and told me that an offer would be sent out no sooner than 10 days time..
i asked why some have to wait longer than others and she said its due to the amount your claiming...
whether thats just another story in the tales of the natwest unexpected..il have to wait and see..
she told me to ring back after 10 days time///
Like you i am really fed up with this now, i hope you have your offer waiting for you when you get back of holiday..
thanks
jo

Hi Jo well in a way thats good news i suppose 10 days time is before your 8 weeks isnt it so at least yours might be sorted within THEIR timescale unlike mine.
Think that amount statement she said is just another tale if you read some of the success stories the amounts are not all the same some are small some are big.
More like sodding pot luck or whatever piece of paper their hand lands on first. Maybe they are making a game of it and only choosing names they like - nothing would suprise me! :rotfl:
Thats the lady i spoke to aswell and thats where my complaint has gone not that it will do any good i wouldnt have thought. My only hope is that the FO give them a good telling off hopefully fine them if thats possible and give them all of a day to stump up the money! Lets see how they like being charged now that would be a case of what goes around comes around wouldnt it eh! haha
Well ive finally done it been putting it off and ive asked my dad to borrow me the money for my hols - he said he would which is lovely of him just wish i hadnt needed to ask but thanks to natwest and their non sticking to off timescales i had no choice!  :mad:LBM - April 2007Claimed back my bank charges from Natwest - £1196Halifax Credit Card Claiming £467.35 Rec £467.35!/Capital One Card Claiming - £523.92/Barclaycard Claiming - £403.58 Rec £403.58/MBNA Claiming - £584.37 Rec£584.37Proud to be dealing with my debtsUpdate: 2009 - Currently claiming £1900 from Natwest0 -
The 14 days after my second letter pasted at the start of the week. Decided to give the bank a ring today to see what was happening and if they are planning to settling and try to avoid going to court. Was told that a letter offering me all the charges they've taken but no interest was to be send by 31st May. Anyone else been in this situation?
Does the letter arrive or is it a stalling tactic on their part. Also getting it sorted with out going to court appeals but missing out on the interest is a bit of a downer.0
