thanksThere coming to take me away ha ha0 -
So since receiving my offer from Natwest weeks and weeks ago, and returning my acceptence, I have repeatedly phoned them and been into the branch to be told story after story, from payment is due any day, to payment was made 3 weeks ago but we don't know where it's gone and then last friday they said that actually they'd NEVER received my acceptence of the offer so would send out new offer letter friday, that was obviously rubbish too as yesterday they finally credited my account with over £1000 yipeeeeeee, about time too.
:T :T :T :T :T
So good luck everyone, and when you do eventually receive an offer don't assume the fight is over, keep going and don't let them fob you off.
Good luck.

I BET WE COULD RING THEM AND PUT THE FONE DOEN RING STRAIGHT BACK AND STILL BE TOLD SOMETHING ELSE IMMEDIATELY AFTER!!
Hiya
Yep im feeling the same as you - fed up of it all! Suppose to have my offer this week thought i would have it by today as last week i was told that i was a day behind the offer letters being sent out on friday.
Went home at dinner in the hope that it would be there and nothing! So disappointed.
7 Days is an awfully long time for someone to credit your account there not that p**sing slow at taking your charges off you are they!
To be honest i dont know what their game is but it seems like they are the worse bank at getting info and refunds to customers.
Im not gonna ring them again either as im sick of being lied to. A recap, then an update.
Recap
I'm claiming for two bank accounts. The first is for £1,757.98 and the second is amounts to £4,874.51.
First letter sent 14th March 2007 by Recorded Delivery to my bank manager who forwarded it to Customer Services in Borehamwood.
Second "Letter before action" sent direct to Customer Services on 2nd April, again by Recorded Delivery.
Still no response, so I decided to try the MoneyClaimOnline site.
I divided the amount owed to me into two, separate claims, to stay below the £5,000 threshold of the Small Claims procedure.
I made the claims online on the afternoon of 18th April 2007. The claims were accepted on 19th.
8th May: at the 11th hour, NatWest sent an Acknowledgement to the court, which extended the deadline by a further 14 days.
Update
On 10th May (last Thursday), I received the written notices of Acknowledgement for both claims from Northampton County Court. (If you weren't aware, all the MoneyClaimOnline cases are held in that court because it houses the huge, automated systems.) The cover sheets from the court simply read:
"An Acknowledgement of Service of your claim has been filed today, a copy of which is attached. The defendant now has 28 days from the date of service of the claim form to file a defence."
A quick look at the Acknowledgement of Service forms themselves shows that NatWest are using Cobbetts of King Street, Manchester, as their solicitors. I wish them, as the Chinese curse goes, an interesting life.
On the same day, I received an offer letter from NatWest, from their Customer Relations department. It contains all sorts of platitides like, "We do not agree with the basis of your complaint. We believe that the charges we levy are for providing services and that they are not penalties or charges for default.. Furthermore, we believe that these charges are fair, reasonable and transparent."
So why do they then go on to say, in the next paragraph, "However, having reviewed your case and as a gesture of goodwill and without admission of liability or error, in this instance we are prepared to offer the amount of £1,920 paid into your account."
:rotfl:
Will I be accepting that?
I DON'T THINK SO!
And so right now, after posting this, I shall be writing a letter which begins something like, "Dear NatWest, thank you very much for your kind offer, but...." and ends, "I look forward to meeting you in court."

hi jonun, when i phoned cru last week they said i should get an offer by june 6th, then i phoned today and was told in the next 2 weeks, she also said 14 working days for money to be paid in the bank, i think i will phone twice more and ask the same questions both times and record them, then see what the say, could be interesting. the left hand dosn't seem to know what the right is doing.
i sent my 1st letter on the 6th april, they acknowledged it on 12th or 13th as i have been told both dates, sent 2nd letter on the 26th, and e mailed a complaint letter last week, so i think our dates are about the same.
the women on the phone this morning was a stunned that i had not even received an acknowledgement letter though.0 -

14 days to put the money into your account - thats ridiculous it doesnt take them 14 days to put charges on your account and take your hard earned money out does it! :mad:LBM - April 2007Claimed back my bank charges from Natwest - £1196Halifax Credit Card Claiming £467.35 Rec £467.35!/Capital One Card Claiming - £523.92/Barclaycard Claiming - £403.58 Rec £403.58/MBNA Claiming - £584.37 Rec£584.37Proud to be dealing with my debtsUpdate: 2009 - Currently claiming £1900 from Natwest0 -
Hi. Not sure if this has been asked and answered before so if it has i
apologise!
I am currently claiming £2551 from Natwest. They have offered me £1200
and said they would send an offer letter but this was four weeks ago so i'm
now going ahead with MCOL.
Since beginning my claim i have now incurred further charges.
Can i add them to my claims on MCOL? If so can i also add the interest
as i have with my original amount? I would appreciate some advice
ASAP as i want to go ahead with MCOL tonight.
Thankyou and good luck to everyone else. :beer:0 -

god its ridiculous isnt it?
timewilltell i do think our dates are exact i sent my 2nd letter 25th april received on 26th!
i emailed them again on sunday..just to say how apalled i am with them etc!
nothing bothers them does it like threatening and actually filing a court case doesnt bother them..reporting them to Fo doesnt bother them and taking your custom elsewhere doesnt bother them..ringing everyday doesnt bother them they will still do it at their own pace wont they|?
I think i might record them too next time..
How on earth does it take 8 weeks to read aletter , calculate charges and then a further 2 weeks to credit your account??
your right smudgemanc26 its a pity it diesnt take them 2 weels to charge us??
totally shocking isnt it??
im not kidding ,I have rang must be 20 times at least and every single time been told something new!! its a joke!!
