  • I take it you havent heard anything either? I think from what i got told the other day by customer services that they are up to claims started around the week commencing the 19th March so fingers crossed i will have my offer letter this week.

I also asked if you could fax the offer letter back to them and they said they can fax them out but not receive them back by fax! Strange that one!

So it looks like it has to be send by post and i just hope it doesnt take them ages to put the money in your account.

This has been a big long drag - hope i dont have as much hassle with the CC companies now :(

no, not heard anything as usual, didn't realise how stressful this could be, wonder what sort of faxmachine they got then, there technology needs updating, as they say can't e mail either(via an e mail)

Haha yeah i know what you mean! Did you complain to the FO about not receiving anything including an acknowledgement letter? - i did but they are snowed under too so they probably wont get round to telling them off anytime soon.

Just a question of waiting now but its horrible and yeah your right it is stressful. Keep reading the success thread and in a way it helps me to carry on but then in some cases its just annoying to see how much of a lottery this is when some people have been paid out within a matter of days! i e mailed them and gave them 7 days to reply with an offer or i will contact fo, there 7 days is up on thursday, so will contact fo on friday, i will also be complaining that when i get charged i don't receive letters telling me, i havn't received any for about 2 years, and i will be conplaining that i put in a official complaint about it via bank and they said they had 3 days to get back to me, that was in feb, must be there technology again.
  • just contacted customer complaints have receiced request for charges dated 26th april they say they have untill 21st june to put forward offer do I wait or start MCOL cliam
  • i have been sticking to my time scales, i have just phoned cru and asked where my letter of offer is, she asked if i had received a letter of confirmation, i said no and don't want any other delaying tactics, just the letter of offer would be enough, she said my case is being investigated but has not yet been validated yet, and i should get my letter of offer in the next two weeks, i explained if not then fos and court, i also asked if there fax machines received faxes she said they do, but you can't fax offer back, also asked how long money takes to go into account, 14 working days, then i got cheeky and asked how often they up date there technology, she had a sense of humour.

did you receive a confirmation letter, and have you been told yet that its being investigated, jus not validated yet, or is this yet another delaying tactic.

Not received anything from the start hence my complaint to the FO. It was only when i rang customer relations that i found out they had received both my letters and that was some weeks after i had sent them.

All i got told was that my claim is on the system and they have 8 weeks to reply but they are hoping to send offer letters out within the 7 weeks, then i got told by another person it could go to the 8th or 9th week! Who knows i dont even think they know what their saying half the time.

I asked if the system could tell them if an offer letter was being sent out but i got told no - so i dont know how they tell people they have got an offer!

  • Hi All,

Please can i have some views on my case with Natwest:

    22/02/2007 Requested Statements

    Charges: £1,543
    Interest: £516

19/03/2007 1st Request for charges plus interest
21/03/2007 received by royal mail recorded delivery
    NO RESPONSE

13/04/2007 2nd request for charges plus interest
16/04/2007 received by royal mail recorded delivery
    NO RESPONSE

01/05/2007 Claim issued on Moneyclaim website
    06/05/2007 Claim served to Natwest

I phoned Natwest today and was told that a letter will be sent to me by 25th May stating that they will settle as ‘full and final offer’ of £1,450. Which is below the £1,543 they charged in the first place! Not happy as this is under the

The letter i got from the County Court gave until the 20th of May for Natwest to reply.

Will this letter, that i'm told will come to me after the 20th, act as the reply or does it have to go thru the court. I'd imagine the latter.

If the latter, what happens next. Do i enter judgement on the moneyclaim website as no response so the court will award in my favor?

If so what then happens? Anyone had experiance of this?

    Thanks

    Matt
