hYA ALL, i HAVE sent letter to natwest reclaiming my bank charges from both my debit and credit card. However, I have only received a letter from the credit card department saying they will investigate the matter and reply within 10 business days. Why did i not receive anything about my debit/card account? should i have sent 2 separate letters to the different departments? Do they have the right to tell me that they will reply in ten business days, when my letter to them said that i was giving them 14 days (7 of which have gone?)
what is my next step?
Thanks,
anxious leavinglondon0 -
BritBlog,
Great Result - well done!!
Please could answer me a question? I am also claiming from Natwest (since Nov!!).
I have had letter from Cobbetts asking for full details etc back in March - which I replied to. I have completed the AQ for the court and also received a copy of the AQ response from Cobbetts in which they state:
'I have not shown reasonable grounds for bringing claim and that despite them asking for it, I have failed to provide etc. Case management directions cannot be proposed until the claimant fully particularises claim. In light of this the defendant may amend its defence or apply to strike out.'
Did you get this?
The court has cashed cheque I sent for reallocation from Northampton but I have not received a court date yet.
Just wondered if your case followed same route....

Hi All
I have written my first and second letter both ignored so far the bank on the other hand has stopped allowing my acount to go over the overdraft limit and has been charging £38 each time a DD was presented that would take it over and cancelling the dd's the charges this april/may so far add up to £462
the origanal claim is for £4387 should i add the latest charges when i take them to the small claims court? or should i wait then claim again????
If it wasnt for the charges i wouldnt be going over the overdraft limit nowReceived £4541 reclaimed from Natwest :j:T0 -
Hya, would you believe this? I've only just received a letter from Natwest saying as a goodwill gesture, they are willing to pay me £16 as opposed to the £500+ I am reclaiming. I find this rather insultive. What do I do now?0

Oh my - how on earth are you going to answer that one? I'm dreading Cobbetts sending me mumbo jumbo like this.

Where are you up to with reclaiming charges? You need to follow up with the next letter in the process, and follow the time scales set out.

Hello, - have a look at the consumeractiongroup site there is a link in or at the end of Martin's article. There's a NATWEST thread there and some very knowledgable members. Good luck!0 -
