  • Ive not even started with them really only posted 1st letter yesterday just dreading it really now. Dont want this hassle again some people have said its been easy money on here on but to me now its been a nightmare I dont even think i'll be that happy when i get it now im so deflated and as for them getting their overdraft back they can go kiss my !*@$
this really can't go on much longer, i just keep thinking about what i will do with some of the money when i get it, yes i understand they are busy but they re\lly are taking the @@@@ the way they treat everybody differently. i am even beginning to get into the frame of mind, that if i take them to court i will even get the interest on top, which will be a further £1845.00. so if i have to go down that road then so be it.
yes it is really really frustrating waiting, but there is a silver lining at the end and the silver line is in all those bank notes you will be getting back, so stick with it, don,t let them drag you down any more.#
GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE THAT WAIT, hang on in there x

    Hi all..

When i contacted |Fo on tuesday they told me that they cudnt help get my money back as yet as it wasnt past 56 days but they sent me a complaint pack anyway and i sent it back complaining about : No acknowledgement to any of my letters and the fact that i get told different things each time i ring sometimes with very abrupt staff and i told them that i emailed them and they told me they dont get emails , when infact they do cos i got a reply a week later!!They seemed interested in the no acknowledgement to any of my letters bit!! I want natwest to get a kick up the behind for that at least!!
I told them i had been a customer with natwest since i was a kid and i find this behaviour totally offensive!!

I cant wait to get my money and close my account and ring them up and just laugh at them!!

they only received my 1st letter on the 12th April and i am totally stressed with them so god knows how all of you feel who have had this for several months!!
If i had my way id never use a bank again!!

keep going everyone we'l get there in the end!!

I complained too but ive got to nearly breaking point with them ive had constant headaches and am so stressed out by it all. These people who answer the phones and tell lies dont know what we are going through they have no sympathy at all - i just hope they have to claim something back from someone one day and get the bulls**t we have.

To be honest jo i dont think it matters when you started your claim from mine has been ongoing since march and if you read my earlier post you will know that they are only just getting round to letters sent from the 19th march and some people are not getting there offer until the 8th and 9th week its an absolute joke.

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    money went in yesterday

which is funny because i rang them on my dinner yesterday to find out what was goin on, was waiting 37 mins to get through, finally got an operator and she said yeh sorry your letter hasnt been put on your screen yetm try at the end of the week.

Just thought I would check my account to see how skint I am and £1478 has been paid in.

Thanks for all your help, and I advise everybody to keep going.

I didn't even go through MCOL or FO, I just sent a few letters and rang twice a week and its only taken 3 months from getting my statements to get my money.

Not sure if you've already done this but have posted something in the success story section?

    Hi, smudgemanc26 & timewilltell..

your right it is an abselote joke and a disgrace whats happening here!!
    Ive stopped ringing them now!

I sent my 1st letter 12th april (same as timewilltell) i sent my 2nd letter 25th April but when i rang up on tuesday they didnt have my 2nd letter on the system..she spent ages looking thru the system for it..I know they have it cos when i rang around 30th april another girl confirmed that they had it!
    Its pathetic isnt it?

I cant believe that a big organisation such as the natwest bank is allowed to get away with this..the staff sound like they've just been pulled in of the street to answer calls, reading of a script!
i think they have a meeting each morning and the manager is like'right what shall we tell the callers today?'
I CANNOT believe the amount of complete bull we have all been told..treating us like were idiots!!they should be doing everything in their power to sort this as not to lose our custom..I for one am leaving natwest as soon as this ordeal with them is over!!

    Regards jo x

Ringing Customer Relations about your claims only rarely speeds things up - it's very much the luck of the draw. You'll get different answers each time, and just get yourselves more and more stressed, as I'm reading on here today.
My advice is to simply send the letters by signed for/recorded delivery within the timescales set out, and follow up with MCOL if you can afford it, or the FO if you can't. Don't bother ringing the bank. The process will take time, and as aggravating as that is, you do need a degree of patience.
My claim has been on the go since mid March.

Hi can anyone let me have the Borehamwood address to send my list of charges off too, can't seem to find it on the site. Is this the one everyone is sending them to, don't want to go via my own branch, they are useless.
    Thanks Sheila

    hi
    my tale of frustration
24/02/2007 sent letter to local natwest asking for statements for personnal account.
    12/03/2007 recieved 6 years statements
17/03/2007 hand delivered (but no proof) letter claiming 1324.00 inc interest
17/03/2007 hand delivered (but no proof) letter requesting 6 yrs statements on joint account.
12/04/2007 recieved 1 years statements on joint account
14/04/2007 hand delivered (but no proof) template letter 3 to local nat west asking for 1324 to be repaid.
14/04/2007 hand delivered (AGAIN no proof) letter asking for remaining 5 yrs statements of joint account.
30/04/2007 phoned local branch to see if they have recieved any of my letters, to be told there system was down that day but they would look into it. they contacted me on 02/05/2007 to say they had nothing on record that they had recieved my letters and that i should have addressed them to the manager of the branch otherwise they get sent to a mail openning address somewhere. They were appologetic and basically said there was nothing they could and i should try again. It seems that you must get something to proove that they have recieved these letters. next time i will send recorded delivary to boreham wood address and eliminate our local hick branch.
hope this might speed up someone in there claim

    frustrated but not beaten

    FURTHER TO THIS MESAGE
RESENT BY RECORDED DELIVARY ON TUES OF THIS WEEK 1ST LETTER CLAIMING UNFAIR CHARGES OF
1324.00 ADDRESSED TO BANK MANAGER AT LOCAL BRANCH STATING I COULDNT BELIEVE THEY LOST 4 LETTERS ETC..
RECIEVED AN OFFER OF SETTLEMENT BY LETTER TODAY FOR 1130.00 WHICH WAS MONEY LESS INTEREST. I HAVE A FORM TO SUBMIT STATING THAT I WILL TAKE NO FURTHER ACTION ETC. I WIL BE SENDING THIS BACK RECORDED DELIVARY OIN MONDAY ACCEPTING THIS MONEY, THEN I CAN START ON MY JOINT ACCOUNT CHARGES. I JUST WONDER IF THIS IS THE END TO THIS OR WHAT THEY MAY COME UP WITH NEXT.

After waiting since March for my refund or any correspondence from Natwest i have today made a claim to the FO. I had to go home at dinner so thought i would check the post. To my suprise there was a letter from Natwest but it wasnt an offer of a refund which they said verbally they have made it was a f'ing letter to say ive gone over my overdraft!!! Fuming isnt the word

I rang them immediately blood boiling and explained i wouldnt have gone over my overdraft if they hadnt have kept charging me - £170 last week since initial claim and £70 again this week!!! I told the lad who i didnt want to shout at as its not his fault he just happens to answer the phone and explained if i could get my sodding refund back ive been waiting for they can have their overdraft back.

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH EVERYTIME I THINK ABOUT IT, IM GETTING SOOOOOOO MAD!! Cant believe they have the cheek!

I am almost at the end of my tether too. The non communications between depts is frightening. We have a loan, overdraft and credit card. Try telling them that the other depts have impacted on the other depts is a futile. However, when I reach this stage, I forge ahead with all elements and am now going to the FO for the loan account, the IO for the natwest credit card statements and the Complaints/FO for the complaint on my current account. Hope I have that right!

    Busy day tomorrow!
