I just sent my revised charges by mail everything else by post (recorded) i thought the lady told you they were not accepting claims by email anymore?

How about faxing it instead do you have access to a fax machine - someone posted up the fax number if you look back over the thread.

    FAX number is 020 8236 8010 (Borehamwood)

When i emailed them when i hadnt heard anything regarding my claim - still give them the original timescale as suggested though but didnt know that they had charged me extra since my first claim until i looked over my statements

Sorry to sound daft, have you sent a revised letter updating the total you are claiming? if so, when?

Yeah sorry i forgot to say what date that was the 2nd may although i never posted it! ooops just emailed it. Now ive got my verbal offer though i might just take the money n run (so to speak) as for the hassle of this taking longer for £170 it doesnt seem worth it especially when i need the money now. What do you think?

I'd have posted them a revised letter with the extra charges on the total, still sticking to my timescales. However if you need the money & don't mind not waiting for the £170 it's up to you.

Good luck in what you decide to do :D

P.S. I wouldn't ring them accepting the offer, they have to send you the letter & you have to sign & send it back, it states on their letter that faxed copies will not be accepted

Ok so it's got to the point now where I'm seriously thinking of giving up. Started my claim back in March, stuck to the timescales and heard nothing back whatsoever from Natwest. Filled with MCOL and it was issued on the 22nd of April, same as FrugalPam. They had until Sunday to acknowledge and some crazy optimistic part of me thought maybe they wouldn't. But yesterday they did.
Just not sure now if i have the will to carry on with it all. Having to fill in more forms and deal with their defence just seems too daunting and the thought of it dragging on through all of summer gets me down. I've a baby due in 7 weeks so enough to think about. However i've got bills mounting up, and still getting charges every month so really do need the money. Anyone got any words of encouragement to keep me going, or should i just admit defeat.!!!

Please don't give up - there's plenty of help on this site, and Consumer Action Group website. I've copied the letter I sent Robbers - oops, I mean Cobbetts - below, I copied it from someone else on this website! Don't be intimidated - even if you go to court, they won't send anyone, you just need to tell the judge what the charges were & s/he will agree to the refund, that's what has happened to the others who have been through the process.

Keep your chin up, don't be afraid to ask for help, even if it's just moral support. I feel much stronger when I read that I'm not the only one!

    Dear Sir or Madam:
    Claim No:
    Your ref:

I Acknowledge the receipt of the defence posted on behalf of National Westminster Bank plc.
I am not prepared at this stage to answer the CPR Part 18 Request. I anticipate that the claim will be allocated to the small claims track and would not then expect to have to deal with a Part 18 request since these are specifically excluded under Part 27 unless the court specifically orders me to do so of its own initiative
Furthermore I consider that the CPR part 18 request is intimidatory and I intend to bring the intimidation to the notice of the court. However, for clarity, I confirm the charges I am claiming were applied to the following account:

    Account Name:
    Account number:
    Sort Code:

Please also find attached a breakdown of all charges I am claiming.

    Yours Faithfully
