    Hi there,

reading through the forum for the past few weeks has been very useful, but i have a couple of questions..

Yesterday was the last day natwest could put a defence in against my claim, so this morning i went through the judgement by default process, as the claim was only acknowledged and not defended after 28days.

So now the MCOL has judgement request of 3rd May. However today I have now received a defence from Corbetts, and a request for further information. The MCOL has also changed to the Claim being defended as of 30th March.

The request for info asks for alot of information (more than just the schedule of charges) quoting the claim wording (as per the template) and asking me to specify the particulars. Do i have to send this or is the allocation questionaire what i need to send in (and when is this sent to me?).

    thanks for your help

How long does it take for moneyclaim to file your win. Im going away on 15th may for 3 weeks with work, im kinda doing this for the gf.

I sent natwest the letter, nothing returned from either of them. Suppose if they did write a letter to me, i could just ignore it as it never arrived.. :)

    Hi all

I have got one of my offer letters today I have requested £3300.00 including interest on this account they have offered £2465.00still awaitng an offer for the second account of £3800.00.I put my first letter in 17/3/7 this went missing I wrote my second letter on 2/4/7 and sent it recorded delivery after many good and bad phone calls I was told yesterday an offer letter was sent out. To my surprize it landed on my doorstep this morning.
I am torn weather to accept as MCOL will cost me £240 for the two accounts and I am due on holiday next month if I accept I will only have a £400 debt left with them. Has anyone contacted them after an offer and negotiaced a higher ammount I might try for the extra £400 to settle the debt. This is soooooooooo hard:confused::confused::confused:

    Hi all can someone help

I have received my offer for the second account of "2787.00 instead of £3800( if I accept them both I am nearly £2000 down) I rang natwest up to ask how they got this figure as it was not even the charges less interest. They do not know the answer to this and could not tell me ( are they just pulling figures out of the sky). I explained in order for me to put in a claim I had to list all charges and highlight them on my statements so why could I not have a break down from them. They stated it was not a refund of my charges but a goodwill gesture, which is not what I asked for. because they have not answered my complaint to refund my charges within 8 weeks can I know go to the financial-ombudsman

    heres hoping someone can help

The same happened to me, and Natwest have acknowledged my MCOL claim today.
When I rang MCOL, they advised me that, as my claim is now in the court system, that I should not accept their partial offer but stick out for the full amount - charges, interest and court fees, and to write to the bank to accept their offer as part payment of my claim and without prejudice, which I did. They've now got until 20th May to either put in a defence or pay up. I'm in for the long haul - they WILL refund me all my money !! Personally I wouldn't let them off any money - have they ever let you off any charges?

Just a quick update on my claim. Received an offer today less £300 less court fee of £250 less interest of £1050ish i dont know whether to accept or go for the whole lot as in the court process. Natwest acknoledged my claim today and so have a further 14 days to defend which will be the 21st of may what would you do?
Should i just be glad that they have made me an offer or try and go all the way any suggestion most grateful

If I was offered LESS than the amount I claimed (not including interest) I wouldn't accept, I'd take them all the way, you WILL get it all back. Good luck in whatever you decide to do, keep us informed :)

Hiya, as I said in my post No2837 I wouldn't accept if it was less than my claim, if you are in the MCOL process you can claim interest & court costs paid back too. Good luck & let us know what you decide to do ;)
