Thanks thats great, it seems natwest are doing things in clumps...then nothing...then clumps ect
Hubby said I'm not as excited as he thought I'd be, I'm not to be honest, I'm still sceptical about them crediting it to my account
Hey buddy - your money is in sight!!
I think I've still got a wait for mine thoughIf only they'd sent me the offer letter before I filed my court claim, I might have had it in my account by now. Never mind - can now go after them for interest as well :T
I rang Natwest this morning to say I would only accept that offer as part settlement of my claim and without prejudice, but would be pursuing the rest through the Court. I got a snotty 'well, good luck to you, but that's our full and final settlement' !! I replied 'I won't need good luck as you WILL have to pay me interest on the charges you took from me unlawfully, and my court fees'.
I double checked with MCOL - they said I was absolutely right to say that, and that if Natwest don't reply by 6th May then I can apply for judgement by default
Dontcha just love the banks

I know why I'm not as excited as hubby thought I'd be, I'm fuming  this £4,000++ that they STOLE from me got me in so much debt, having to go to the CAB for financial advice, people phoning me, sending me debt letters ect ect, if it wasn't for Natwest I'd have kept my head above water & paid my bills, fed my kids, EVERYTHING! I don't consider myself as "winning" these charges, I consider the situation as justified, just wish I had time to do the MCOL then I could have got £800+ interest that could have paid more bills Natwest got me behind on. How can they justify charging me £38 for going 9 pence NINE PENCE overdrawn  ????????? THEN charging me AGAIN for being over my overdraft which THEY took me into, NOT ME.....THEM!!!! ggrrrrr:mad: They dont warn you (like Abbey for example) they just slam the charges on as & when they want to so you CAN'T do anything about it..................as soon as I get this money back I'm closing my account, never to have anything more to do with Natwest again! I HATE THAT BANK
And relax..............phewwww :j now I've got that off my chest.......
You will definitely get your money back, just just a case of WHEN then we will be :rotfl: all the way to another bank :T0 -

Well ive just nipped out of work to post my letter recorded delivery after having no response to my first and 2nd letters. I rang customer care yesterday and they have indeed received my letters but i got told they have 8 weeks to respond! Well seeing as its been over 14 days since my 2nd letter i decided i would post the court threat letter today. Hopefully it wont get to the MCOL stage as i cant really afford it but im sticking to my deadlines not theres!
I think i dropped abit of a clanger though as i deducted the £12 agreed fair charge from all my charges! Has anyone else done this or should i have just asked for the whole lot back?! Oh well if i get my amount ive requested its better than nothing.
Cant help thinking though if they keep adding these riduculous charges onto my account I'll have to go through this process all the time - when will they learn and when is the ruling going to come in to say keep it at a £12 maximum limit by law?
Its good to hear of everyone elses success stories hopefully i'll be able to join you soon! I'll keep you updated.
Just want to say this sites top I'm a MSE geek now and its comforting to know that there are other people in similar positions and they are willing to help you offering support and advice. jen xLBM - April 2007Claimed back my bank charges from Natwest - £1196Halifax Credit Card Claiming £467.35 Rec £467.35!/Capital One Card Claiming - £523.92/Barclaycard Claiming - £403.58 Rec £403.58/MBNA Claiming - £584.37 Rec£584.37Proud to be dealing with my debtsUpdate: 2009 - Currently claiming £1900 from Natwest0 -

Oops wrong button,
juliebro instead of waiting around for natwest to keep swallowing up your money, do as what has been suggested in other threads, open up a new bank account with another bank and transfer your wages into the new account.
That's what I had to do and cancel my direct debits, sure I've got people screaming at me for money, but at least natwest aren't taking £38 a pop from me anymore.
They've even got the cheek to keep ringing me and I know it isn't about my claim it's because I'm over my overdraft limit because of their meddling.BR 4/10/07
