    Success at last!!

After calling them constantly over the past 6 weeks wednesday was the end of the road for me lol

THey had 2 weeks until their 8 weeks was up so i decided to call and see if any offer had been made. Was 'greeted' by some arrogant woman who was obvouisly reading off a laminate! She told me no offer had been made so i asked realistically would an offer be made in the next 2 weeks? She said she 'didnt know'. I told her i was contacting the financial ombudsman as i was sick of being fobbed off. Called the ombudsman and they sent out the paperwork which was with me by the next day! Filled it in and sent it back friday. Decided to call natwest on friday and low and behold an offer! I was claiming £998 and they offered me £1008.

Was told it would take 2 weeks for the offer to get to me but saturday morning it arrived in the post! Sent it back saturday afternoon by recorded delivery! They told me 10 days, so fingers crossed!

Congrats on the payout...from past experience if anyone mentions the f/o, banks tends to do whatever to keep the customer happy, all charges cases I know of that delt with the f/o were paid out...

I'm guessng there'll be quite a lot going on tonight, people finally getting paid and going through MCOL.

I'm in the process of putting together a list of charges I want to claim back from NatWest.

Over the course of 6 years I have been charged about £2k in overdraft arrangement fees - does anyone know if I can claim these costs back?

    Any help would be appreciated.

We have been charged a small fortune in 'arrangement fees', usually at a time when we have not been in a position to refuse the loan/overdraft, which is what the fees are for. I'd really like to know if these can be claimed back.

does anyone know if 'arrangement fees' for loan/overdraft facilities being put in place, extended, renewed, can be reclaimed. These seem astronomical, varying from £25-£150!

Sleepless night -note the time. Going on holiday and pocket money on an absolute shoe string .Just managed to pay minumum this month to all bills etc and stave off future problems Put my last spare £ 40 in Nat west bank to cover a cheque Then !! I checked on banknig after midnight and £ 74.00 been taken out £ 34.00 interest and £ 40 charges !! So now over my limit ,going away today and cannot do any thing about it which will result in two cheques being bounced =£76 pounds !! Frustration.

well, i decided £120 was too much for me to pay for MCOL, so left that, but kept bugging Natwest on the phone every few days.

Recieved my offer letter yesterday for £1478, sending it back special delivery today even though the envelope is pre paid.

I will ring them friday to confirm they have it, and if I have no word from them by the end of next week, I will ring up and DEMAND that money in my bank by the end of the day.

Now I'm going to draft my second letter, so do I send it to the same address as in my post here?

Hiya, I got mine yesterday too (postman came really late, typical!...he's a nice fella though :) ) let me know when they credit the money into your account, I'll keep you posted on mine. I sent it back 1st class recorded so I can see when they sign for it ;)
