hi everyone, just an update on progress so far, today i had a call from the customer care team at natwest {weird} she was explaining to me that they had recieved all my letters and that an offer is definately going to be made even told me how much again, then she said to just be patient and i should get it within the next 2/3 weeks {i was told before i would recieve it before the end of may}, then she was going on about making sure i sign the agreement and send it back promptly and the money would then be credited to my account, has anyone else had this happen to them? i didnt really ask too much as i had my 2 year old squealing and laughing whilst jumping around me with our 3 month old puppy!!!!0

Hiya, not exactly the same as you but I rang Customer Relations & I was told to wait 2 weeks, 3 days later I got an offer letter (loads of people have been told 56 days, 8 weeks ect), obviously I signed & sent it back recorded delivery the same day, just a case of waiting for them to push the button to credit it to my account. Hold tight, you might not have to wait 2 - 3 weeks (fingers crossed).
(By the way Frugalpam, mine wasn't dated either)

Hiya, you can't claim interest on a normal agreed overdraft UNLESS natwest's charges took you over your overdraft, if I have the correct information the Advantage Gold fee was £6 on the dates you have stated, depending how much you were overdrawn in the agreed overdraft at the time it looks like the debit interest may be correct which natwest are talking about, if that makes sense? how much were you claiming if you don't mind me asking?0 -
just a matter of waiting then!!!!
congratulations on getting your money back:beer:0 -

congratulations on getting your money back:beer:
As frugalpam said to me in an earlier post, it's not a case of IF you get your money back....it's WHEN!! you WILL get it :j good things come to those who waitor take the bank to court :rotfl: well done to you too for getting a verbal offer, I'm presuming like me, they told you the amount on the phone which is what I got (or should I say "I'm getting"), and it's the full amount claimed
for you. :T :beer:0 -

Firstly, never get a puppy younger than your kid!
Secondly, I think I have been dealing with the same snotty nosed woman at Customer Services! Everyone else has been great... well, courteous. I was told last week that my claim had been 'verified' and that I should receive an offer by May 15th latest. The figure quoted was the full amount including interest. Yay, I thought. But the 14 day deadline to begin proceedings was yesterday. Should I wait or file a claim? I see my claim as quite seperate from my complaint against natwest although it does tie in with the way in which my account was handled and the charges that handling incurred. This woman was not prepared to research my complaint per se but kept harping on about the claim.
Anyway, bottom line is I don't have the £120 for court costs (natwest pulled my overdraft) and I am hoping for a letter.
Is this recent stance as a result of the case with Tom Brennan linked?
Keep the faith anyway, all.:j Proud to be dealing with my debts:j0
