thanks for that. do i just deduct that fee of the charges as for example 23rd feb charges £38 do i take of the 10 bank fee charge and write 23rd feb charged 28 pounds, doesnt say what for though

NatWest put together charges for Advantage Gold and Unarranged Borrowing together from 31/10/2002 so that the charge for Advantage Gold and Unarranged Borrowing was not two separate charges but one fee.

So yes, deduct the AG charge because you can't claim for it, the rest is unarranged borrowing fee's which you can claim for, it's a pain but you'll get there in the end, good luck :D

Hi Just posted on the success thread:D

After many months of worry, which has manifested itself in an addiction to this site!!

    Fat West has finally payed up:j :j :j :j :j :j

I am sooooo happy a nice big cheque for nearly 4 grand. That is charges, interest and court fees.

It can be done. I wish you all the best of luck with your claims. I also wanted to thank all of you who have helped me along the way. Either by answering my posts directly or from the help and advice I got from reading your posts.:A

    Thanks all:beer:

I can't believe I've read this. I have £ 7000 of charges and was unaware that I had to do this deduction as it is just down on statements as unarranged fee There was a lot of £ 12.00 which I haven't included. I thought that it had all, gone too well
Do I yet again have to recalcute ( it takes hours) and resent it to the bank?

To be totally honest with you, I did exactly what you have done, then, I learned a lot on here & that Advantage Gold thing was one of them.....but.....a BIG BUT...... I left my claim running, I said "whats done is done", if it gets to the court stages then I'll change it. I haven't got that far yet but I had a verbal offer yesterday for the full amount claimed & was told I'd have it in writing within 2 weeks  so I wouldn't worry too much.

To help clarify try reading this:

    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/natwest-bank/27521-advantage-gold-unarranged-borrowing.html

It's one of MANY MANY things I've researched about the confusing penalty charges/not penalty charges

    Please don't worry.

Can I just ask, did you request a cheque? is your account still open?. Just wondering as I requested payment via cheque in all my letters.
