    You are welcome.

Most people put head office but I've read on this site that if you use your branch it's easier if the bailiffs have to go in to get your money (very unlikely but has been done), when I do mine, I'm using my branch :D

but like I said most put head office.

Hi, potentially i will be filing a claim against Halifax do i have to pay another court fee for this?

yes I understand that but was wondering how ANY of these charges APPEAR on statements.

As I said, I only have the above 4-5 types of payments/transactions when looking down the list - none seem to show CHARGE in any of the items. This is what i am asking - should it actually state EXACTLY what the charge is and the name for it? or does it get incorporated into other transactions?

aah sorry, in the column next to the date (under details) it should say things like direct debit, card transaction ect, the charges say "charges" then what they are for, mine says charges then referral charge or unpaid items, underneath it says the direct debit (which they didnt pay)

is that any help to you?

Can anyone advise me on the following?

I sent off to Natwest for all charges on all my accounts including my credit card account. I have since been told that I will have to pay another £10 to get my credit card statements as Natwest card services is a seperate part from that of Natwest Bank PLC.
Is this the case? or does the DPA cover Natwest as a whole or each individual department within Natwest PLC?
Natwest - LBA sent 26/04/07, FO. Sent email to Michael Duncan on 11/05/07. SUCCESS - Offer letter received 19/05/07 for full amount.
Natwest Credit Card - 1st letter sent 27/4/2007 (£294) SUCCESS - Full amount repaid
Capital One - 1st Letter 03/2007, FO in Sep 07. SUCCESS full amount repaid Jan 08

Has anyone else had to send the bailifts in with Natwest, we really did'nt want to take it this far, we won and we gave Natwest plenty of time to pay us, then we phoned them and they told us they would not speak to us and so we took it to the next stage, its tomorrow that the bailifts will go to our local branch and get the money(wish i could watch!!), we phoned MCOL yesterday and they said this was rare and we r the first in our area.. and i have looked on the boards but can't find much info on this ...
    goodluck everyone with your claims...

Extremely curious!!! Did the bailiffs go in and if so, what happened? JG
Nat West - MCOL March - FatWest defended - hearing date 4 July - 2300 claimed and still having charges put onto account!!

HSBC - sent 14 day - still waiting for reply. MCOL by end of week - claiming 795 - eventually paid out £560.

Halifax - sent for statements Feb - cheque cashed - nothing received - reported to FSA - paid up almost amount claimed before official complaint registered with FSA

Just wandered if anyone else encountered this......

I am helping someone claim their charges from FatWest. MCOL and hearing date set for 4 July. I asked this person to call FatWest today to see if any further charges had gone on since the spreadsheet done and he was told no charges on account but 28 pounds per month going on account "interest". I know interest cannot be claimed back so is this something FatWest doing now - putting the charges down as interest? Iv told him to get statements from the bank and we have done a letter today to the local branch asking them to clarify the interest being accrued on the account but just wandered if anyone else had this happen? They always say Charge in the description so I would say that you have never been charged
  • hi everyone

about 6 years ago i got into debt with nat west as i went way over my overdraft limit.
eventually they closed the account as i defaulted. the original figure was approx £1200 and as they were charging approx £200 per month as a penalty and as you can imagine they refused any offer of me paying it back monthly it ended up around £3500. to cut a long story short i settled as a full and final payment to them of approx £2700.
can i claim these penalties back even after this time?
    any info will be helpful

    thanks
