  • Hey guys, I was charged £38 by natwest because i just gone over the overdraft limit. Anyway I am really angry about that cos I think they are just stealing from our pockets.

I have been wondering if its possible to e-mail them instead of sending them a letter?

Anyone tried claim back their money thru e-mail?? thanks

After Natwest denied to have received any letters from me, I began MCOL, to which they have acknowledged & their 28 days will be up on the 8th May.
Today I received a letter from Stuart Higley saying he would refund the £129 charges....hmmm!

I would like the £30 court fee refunded & I've seen some people get interest back too whilst in the MCOL process (though I know I'm not entitled to this yet)...what's the best way to go about this, call him & discuss it or write to him...any advice appreciated.

    TIA x

    hi

Having just scanned through 6 years worth of Natwest statements I can only find 1 single charge entitled Charges for £12 which appears to be for a bankers draft. All my transactions seem to be under the following headings

    Cash Withdrawal
    Card Transaction
    Standing Order
    Drect Debit
    Interest

Are all Charges usually marked clearly as type 'Charges' - if so unfortunately I dont think I can claim back anything :(

    Thanks for your help

Can anyone advise me on the following?

I sent off to Natwest for all charges on all my accounts including my credit card account. I have since been told that I will have to pay another £10 to get my credit card statements as Natwest card services is a seperate part from that of Natwest Bank PLC.
Is this the case? or does the DPA cover Natwest as a whole or each individual department within Natwest PLC?
Natwest - LBA sent 26/04/07, FO. Sent email to Michael Duncan on 11/05/07. SUCCESS - Offer letter received 19/05/07 for full amount.
Natwest Credit Card - 1st letter sent 27/4/2007 (£294) SUCCESS - Full amount repaid
Capital One - 1st Letter 03/2007, FO in Sep 07. SUCCESS full amount repaid Jan 08

Hiya, everyone normally contacts the bank via letter, as yours is for a single charge I'd try & phone your branch first as some people have had a refund of a single charge "as a gesture of goodwill"....so the bank says! If you have to do it in writing then you should be told on the phone, however, if you want to email customer relations the email address is:

    Customer.Relations@natwest.com

Let us know how you get on, good luck!

Hi, you can do what I did.....just add your charges & dates they were applied to your account on the calculator & it will work out the 8% for you, I saved mine & printed it off on another printer at the library with a removable memory stick thingy, but you can write it down by hand if you can't use a printer, by hand is just as good as a printer. Good luck.

Well done, congratulations! Can I ask how long it took from 1st letter to receiving your money? Also did you get to the court process?.

    Hi PAWI69,

Started both claims on 19th February, Natwest paid up on mine on 11th April I had started MCOL but offer letter came through and I accepted so cancelled MCOL. My husbands paid up on 23rd April again we had started MCOL but will now cancel that one as well. It's a shame that we paid out for the court costs but we were happy that we got the money so will let that go.

Keep up with the claims, success will be out there.:rotfl:
