You know, the more I read this thread, the more I wish I could start the MCOL thing..... but hopefully I won't live to regret saying that, if it all gets mindblowingly confusing :rotfl:

Evening Matey, hmmmm I know, I'm actually looking at the success thread as well as this one tonight, Halifax seem to be chucking the money out at claimers at the moment, I've got a feeling I'm not going to be 1 of the lucky ones :(

I was close to giving natwest another call today but thought I might as well leave it till tomorrow, too busy to do it today. How are you feeling with doomsday (filing with MCOL) approaching?

Is there anyone who has received a request for further information from the bank's solicitors?

My claim has now been allocated to a local court with Judge's name! Getting a little nervous now but want to make sure I do everything right. Anyone at the same stage out there?
Nat West - MCOL March - FatWest defended - hearing date 4 July - 2300 claimed and still having charges put onto account!!

HSBC - sent 14 day - still waiting for reply. MCOL by end of week - claiming 795 - eventually paid out £560.

Halifax - sent for statements Feb - cheque cashed - nothing received - reported to FSA - paid up almost amount claimed before official complaint registered with FSA

    Hiya Jay,

Although I'm not at that stage yet, I have read SO MANY posts about receiving requests for info from solicitors, seems a standard (stalling tactic) letter. I believe you just send them copies of what you have already sent the bank.

Well - I've decided I'm going to stick with the timescales. However, I've just realised something.... the letter I sent giving them 14 days before I started court action was signed for by them (good old Track and Trace) on 2nd April. I'd been thinking I'd start on MCOL on the 16th - i.e. 14 days later. Now I realise they'd take that as 14 working days, so that'd take it to the 19th April. AND there have been 2 bank holidays (that's an ironic name :rotfl: ) so I should maybe wait til the 21st April??? I really want to get this over with and get my dosh back!

I didnt even consider the 14 days being working days, I sent one on the 9th of march giving them 14 days, then the next on 23rd march giving them another 7, their time is well up now but I cannot afford to start the claim until payday so I am just hassling them on the phone.

If I do not get anywere on the phone before I get paid, god help them lol
