I have spoken to Natwest this morning as they have charged me £64 this month which i could not include in my original request of £2001. I asked them to refund me the charges as a good will gesture and they refunded me £50. Yes it wasn't the full amount but i will hold out for the full £2001.0

:money: I am also reclaiming charges from Egg and Capital One.
Thankyou Martin! x
Hiya!
I'm claiming from Egg and Capital One as well. I have already won on 2 accounts from Capital One but be warned they do try and put you off with letters before you get the money. egg like to play hardball 2. I'm at court stage with them now.
Unfortunately, I'm getting no where with Natwest. Have had to report them to the IC! :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks for the info. I hope that the claims happen quickly but i am prepared to go all the way. Lovin the fact that we can do this! Good luck with your claims0

hi, I have been in the exact situation as you, two weeks ago what I thought I had in the bank to cover things was not there cos natwest had charged me and there was not enough money to cover things so ended up getting charged again anyway yesterday I requested my bank statments, if possible ring the bank and cancel your direct debits so you can't be charged again they can always be reset and that way you wont get charged ring the people you have direct debits with and just explain most people are understanding, juliebro. am new to this site myself today, I feel I am no longer alone.:A0 -
Hi, I have started the process of reclaiming my bank charges. I sent the initial letter and received the back dated statements. I have also sent the second and third letters to which I have had no replies at all. I am ready to start the court proceedings this week as I have not heard anything back from Natwest at all as of yet.
My questions is have I sent the second and third letters to the correct people ( I sent them to the address in Edingburgh - the Data Protection Manager) as I have not heard anything in response to my letters or should I have sent these letters to the local branch. Assuming I did send to the correct address how do I make a claim on MCOL as this is an address outside of England and Wales.
If I have sent the claims to the wrong address - who should I be sending these letters to?
Thanks0 -

Dont worry, put your branch as the one you are claiming from. Your initial letters will/would have been sent to the correct department. I sent mine to my branch & I know they got to the right place in the end. I haven't heard a dicky bird from them either, carry on with your next step when the time comes.0
