I know it's never ending, always money money money, I'm sick of struggling, hopefully things will change for the better soon thanks to Martin!!

Gorgeous day today, I've got dinner on too, boys out playing footy, hubby out helping his dad move house, baby upstairs having his afternoon nap so I can get on with dinner. What part of the country are you at?

Hiya - I'm 'up north', not far from Southport. Went to the beach yesterday but it was packed out with day trippers - not suprising really as the weather's so good.
I was just checking where I'm up to with Natwest letters - the one threatening court was signed for on 2nd April. I gave them 2 weeks, so only a week to go before decision time or MCOL time. I've pretty much decided I'm going to go down the MCOL route, although aspects of it do confuse me - will have to read up on it all the next few days.

ahhh im just across the water from you, small world eh!, I knew I could smell your dinner haha

My next step is at the same time as yours & I was going to research it a little too, there's an extra £800+ in interest if I go through MCOL, I've also done some maths & I CAN afford to go down that route next week yayyy

By the way, sorry to keep asking things, but did you go through MCOL? & did you find the whole process easy?

As well as the whole business of filling in the MCOL form (although I know there's a lot of info about this on the forum.... somewhere..), what confuses me is what to do if we start MCOL and then we get a letter a few days later offering us our penalty fees back. I'm not sure if we cancel the MCOL thing or not - maybe someone knows the answer to that?
So if you're across the water, you're on the Fylde coast? I was looking out from Ainsdale beach and could see Blackpool Tower yesterday. Was that you waving a flag from the top, which said 'watch out natwest, I'm coming after ya!" ? :rotfl:

I've seen people say on here that they got offer letters dated the same date as they filed with MCOL, looks like a typical stalling tactic, but they carried on with MCOL & got charges, interest & costs back.

I'm on the Wirral, not that far from you, I was the one on the ferry that went too far down the Mersey & got lost......told you I'm always unlucky!,

    Hi All,

I had been trying to contact Natwest for days to speak to them about my claim, I wanted to make sure they had received my letters, and finally got given number to the Customer Relations Team.

For peeps info it is - 08000 154212

I recommend people dialing this number direct than going through customer services cause you will just get past from person to person.

Anyway, spoke to them on Thursday and the nice lady said they had received my letters and that I should received an offer letter in the post but it could take up to 8 weeks.

I am due to fill the claim with the small claims court on friday, but do I give them a bit of extra time as they said it can take 8 weeks to get a response??

    Thanks
    Anna:o

Hi Anna, you are at the exact same stage as frugalpam & myself, due to file with MCOL on Friday. Pam is sticking to her timeframe & I on the other hand am in 2 minds to give natwest a little longer, especially with the Easter weekend, but I really want to go for it, hubby is saying wait for the offer letter & this site is saying stick to the timescale set out by Martin, in which case if it gets to the MCOL stage, I can clam £800+ in interest. It's entirely up to you what you want to do, we have rang them & had verbal offers, seems to be the standard thing due to their backlog. Sorry I'm not much help, good luck & keep us updated
