Wonder why they wouldn't confirm my offer amount, when I rang? The woman I spoke to said she wasn't allowed to give out that information
As for yours sounding tired...... not half as tired as I am with Natwest :rotfl:
    I've no sympathy for them!

Just a thought, but maybe try calling again & see what they say this time, no doubt you'll speak to a different advisor, they might tell you. My advisor asked how much my claim was for, I said in the region of 4 thousand (I had the total in front of me, just wanted to see what she said!), anyway, she quoted the EXACT amount including pence!

Well Natwest have had their time...so filed the MCOL last night, was received today, think it's 5 days for papers to be served, then Natwest have 14 days to respond...it's only for £203 with court fee & interest...pity they kept denying they hadn't received my letters & all the other rubbish they spouted...will see what happens from here on

Thanks for that, that was really helpful :T I was pondering on wether or not to ask if anyone had held off MCOL & actually got their offer letter & cash in the bank after having a verbal offer. I don't mind waiting a while because I've waited up to 6 years from the 1st charge so a matter of weeks/couple of months cant hurt......not waiting forever though ;)

Can you let us know if/when you get your money? just wondering on the final outcome & what the banks timescales really are

No problem PAW169, I'll let you know as soon as I can. Lets hope its sooner rather than later

Just thought I'd say (and have posted in another section of sucess/failure claims.

I sent my first letter 4 weeks ago giving 14 days notice, after 21 days, they still hadn't replied, I sent the 2nd letter stating that I will take them to court. Today I recieved a letter saying they will offer me £2132.00 (I asked for £2682.25 including interest)

I sent both letters by signed for item using royalmail it only cost another 70p extra, it still gives you the proof that they have recieved the item so they can't turn around and claim they have not recieved the letters.

i requested my statements on 26/2/07, recieved them on 9/3/07.

Sent letter requesting £1634.23 with interest on 12/3/07, no reply, sent 2nd letter with intent on court action on 26/3/07, still no reply.

Just about to ring the customer relations number and see what they say, will let you know.

just rang customer relations, they said ring my local branch as i addressed the letters i sent to them and customer relations cannot see what the local branch would be doing on their screens.

So rang local branch, they said they just open letters and then forward them on to head office, they do nothing else with them, so i have got a 3rd number to ring now which is for the 24 hour help line, and the lady at my local branch said to ring the 24 hour line and they may be able to give me another number to help me...

Can anyne shorten this wild goose chase for me???

Thanks yet again for taking time out to get this info. I will wade thru' it tonight. Today was their 14th so I am reluctantly doing the LBA letter now though I think they have been warned enough!! Will be in touch with results.
  • Hi

Just to let some of you know that NatWest are paying up. Despite NatWest not sending me all my statements I sent my first letter 5 March, I then phoned them last week on the 30th as I'd still received no response, they said phone back next week if you've still not got our offer letter and I got it this morning offering the full amount of £1000 excl the interest I'd added on.

I should have sent a 2nd letter and been ready to start court proceedings by now but have been busy so hadn't got round to it.

Good luck to the rest of you and thanks for your support.

    IMAM :T
